the original question was how to make the phone faster, now this question about the settings is about the cpu booster, like what settings did u put? max and min?

You put it at Max 710 and leave the min at 245

so i had this live wallpaper on my 2.1 ascend phone - https://market.android.com/details?id=fishnoodle.storm-- so when i clicked on that wallpaper, the clouds were dark and cool, but when i updated to cm7 and tried it again, the clouds were gray and really weird, and i know its not the settings because i copied the settings from my old to new, and yes i tried re-installing it, so can anybody help me with this issue, because i really love this app/wallpaper.

some wallpapers are graphically different between different os versions (such as 2.1 (stock) and 2.3.4(cm7 GB) this may be your problem. what is the wallpaper? i will test for you to see if it's a bug on your end.

Also, what weather app should I go with? fancy widget, you can pick the weather using weather bug or your google location, works well for me, and also beautiful widgets works just the same, but i prefer fanzy widgets!!!

I agree about Skyfire. The only good thing about it is the video playback. The video feature used to be free, but they recently turned it into a paid only option. However, they grandfathered in all the people who already had it.
Are unlocked and jailbroken the same thing? How to unlock the acsend so I can switch service and keep phone?
Jailbreaking allows you to install 3rd party applications, customize graphics, sounds, etc. Unlocking allows you to use the phone on networks other than your current provider.

You just have to get the CDMA unlocking kit. but back afew years ago i unlock a cingular phone using the MEID# now with metro, have tried it yet but i bet there is a good guide out there for it...

with beautiful widgets i never could get it to work, so i move to fancy widgets, much better and also more skins and settings...

I been kinda searching around to see if I can change the time/rings before the VM picks up. No luck so far so I come here.
Can we change the amount of time or rings before voice mail picks up on the Cricket network?

Is that a network thing?
I called cricket and ask them, the woman on the other side of the phone said it was a hardware thing. Any truth to this?
I was wondering this too. I don't like having to hit 1 to answer a google voice call, but turning that stuff off won't let gv voice mail pick up before cricket voice mail does. Can't I have my cake and eat it too?
I have apps showing up in the Android Market (when I go to the app market on my computer) that say Installed but are not installed on my phone. They were installed at one point but are not now. Is there a way to fix this without removing ALL of the apps installed on the phone? Or if I can delete the downloaded app history will it update automatically with the apps I have installed on my phone right now? It is not the search history that I want to clear. It is actually the apps that I have downloaded in the past but are no longer installed.

I need some help.... I was trying to install icarus and like a dumbass i guess i wiped out EVERYTHING that was ever on my phone... when i power on it stays on the white huawei screen... all i can access is clockworkmod recovery but ive tried everything in there and still nothing... when i plug it into my computer nothing pops up... they only way my comp will recognize my phone is if i leave it in clockwork but then i still cant do anything with it

yes, its still on there...its gone if he flash the recovery script to out of box state but he accident formated sdcard, i know how that feels, happen to me when i first started when phone first came out, but lucky me i had spare sdcards i made...

I put nuttmeg's links for cm6 and gapps onto my sd card and when its time to install zip from sdcard i click the folders (metainf and system) ad go thru the menus to install stuf... everything says "no files found"

Ok.. I rooted and when I attempted to freeze canvas my phn kept fc like crazi.. I am using go rite now ... Everyone else I tlkd ta say they didnt have a prob freezin.. Ne one knw why
