Uhhhh what the hell did you flash?? SIM cards are used on cell phones with GSM cellular technology and Cricket cell phones use the CDMA cellular technology.

That is a perfect question..what did you flash?
Now lets get to the no signal issue. Go into your settings, and make sure its not in Airplane Mode. If it is in Airplane Mode turn that feature off.
You can also dial *228, and update your roaming list to activate the phone again. This will usually solve most issues.
I would be really curious to know what you flashed, as if it was not a specific Ascend ROM then you flashed the wrong thing, and you will need to either flash it again with an Ascend Rom (CM6 or CM7) or do a hard reset to factory default.
can you tell me how to put it to stock i think that will fix it. but every time i look it up. it only shows me how to put the metro pc one. not cricket.
one question at a time here, lmao, but it seems like you flash TOE or even the c8600 rom which is the Jap version and the only way to get rid of it is flashing it back to stock.

here is the drivers needed if you dont have them install on your computer, ascend usb drivers.rar
reverting back to stock, ok power down the phone and download and extract this to your desktop MetroStockRecovery-SCRIPTS.zip after you done that press and hold vol down, end key and tap power, your phone should be on the white huawei screen and it should stay there plug your phone to the computer via usb cable, now open the folder that you extracted and run both of these file, first run fastboot-windows you will see a black box come and leave quick, next run metroPCSStock-windows.bat than another black box will pop up and it will do its thing, once it finishes the phone will automatic reboot itself.

You know what is really weird..Is that after playing with CM7 (No Custom Ringers ...) I reverted back to stock 2.1, then did Metro's 2.2 update...In the update they included a SIM Manager...Why i have no idea, i did not click on it, but i thought it was pretty funny that they would put that in an update for a non-GSM phone.
I do believe that they are on cricket, and this link is for metro....also I miss you guys, it is dead in the MT4GS forum.

The camera is pretty awesome. I wont use my regular camera any more, but then again it was really old and only 6 megapixels. T-mobile is okay, the 4g is super fast, but in alot of areas in Tucson I will get 2g witch kinda sucks....I had 3g almost everywhere with cricket....overall I am happy, just wish the forums were more exciting.

I don't mean to bring back an old thread, but if you flashed bakc to stock, you have to run the dload update too, in order for it APN setting etc to fix themselves after coming back from CM7 or another ROM.
My ZTE Anthem is only a week old, it said the memory was full then it was having a huge delay with turning on and then it said that I needed to Insert MetroPcs sim, emergency calls only??? The Huawei Ascend is MetroPCS and Cricket's extremely affordable Android handset, coming in at $150 off-contract. For that kind of money, don't expect much in terms of bang for buck. You'll get a 3.5 inch HVGA display, a 3.2 megapixel c... Read More
