3G on M835 - Page 3

Has metroPCS completed the cell site upgrades to 3G?

Locally, my phone still displays 1X and have yet to see 3G anywhere. When I checked Huawei's web site, it indicated the M835 is 1X/EV-DO and the full user manual actually has 3G icons in it.

Hello there, assuming that I am a literate caveman, can someone please post EASY TO UNDERSTAND, STEP BY STEP instructions as to how to upgrade my Metro PCS Huawei m-835 to a 3G network??? I own a Mac computer and am confused as to how to upgrade my phone (do I even need the computer to make the 3G network thingy happen)?? Please HELP!!! I beg of you

there is no 3g in boston or philly...i dont think there going to expand there either, but im hoping.

I read they were upgrading 20% of the sites, or those with heavy traffic to 3G and I've gone through Boston (East Boston and Mass Pike), with the phone still showing 1X data.

I hope they will upgrade something around here.

First you call *228

When the automated lady asks you for your option hit 5.

It will reboot, and then if you don't see 3G then, you only have 1x
