Default Gps

Hi, I'm a new Mercury user. I have questions on the GPS indicator. The user guide talks about two GPS indicators at the top of the phone.

1. On
2. Receiving data

The "on" indicator is a circle. Kind of like a circle with no fill area. The "receiving data" indicator blinks inside the fill area of the "on" circle.

While the GPS is receiving data, will it ever stop blinking and remain solidly on? Thereby filling the "on" circle with out blinking. Or does it just blink forever while it receives data?

I searched the user guide and this forum for a clue, no joy. I'm developing an APP (my first) which uses the GPS. Sorry for the seemingly silly question.

Mine goes solid once it locks on to my location.
The above post may contain sarcasm...
