Question Looking for a ROM

Has anyone found a ROM that works with the Hydro Elite? I think I've rooted it with Framaroot 1.6.1 but actually see no change. I really want to get rid of Verizon's bloat and get tethering started (school starts soon; and I usually tether my computer to my phone so I can do homework on the train (with out having to use Verizon's tethering)).

Any ideas, tips and tricks appreciated.

Hey 67comet,

I've moved your thread to the all-things-root area, but I see your the first thread in the ATR area.

Hopefully you'll have some additional company before too long.

Best of luck!

A friend of mine has this phone, I started looking into it today. Not a lot of info out there on it it seems. There is a little more info out there on the original Hydro and other variants, but I am not sure how closely they are related. I have made a post in the Hydro forum asking that very question. We'll see what happens...

EDIT: I haven't been reading very long, but it seems as if the Hydro family of phones have locked bootloaders. And not a lot of interest in development, likely due to the locked bootloader and fact that they are not a particularly outstanding piece of hardware.

I remember the Nook Tablet had a locked bootloader also but it was such a nice piece of hardware at such a good price point and there were so many sold as to generate more interest. That may not be the case as much with this phone, but we shall see...
