I made a rom flashing on I7500 galaxy as it is written in the tutorial and everything went fine but the boot screen runs non-stop for a all long time.
I can not do anything because I do not know, I can only remove the battery and then try to boot, but always the same.
I tried to set downloda mode but can not, how to solve this please help
Can I somehow set the download mode and make a flash script II5 again?
What can I do now?
Thank you.

The Following User Says Thank You to RellikZephyr For This Useful Post:
rom is galxohero 1.1
recovey image is 4.4 but I did not copy on the sd card ION official update.
1.unmount sd from pc-ok i made
2.apply sd card:update zip-ok i made
3.estore g.apps-ok i made
4. rebot sistem-ok i made
and I have not made using the recovery wipe, everything else I made.
can now unmount the sd card on my computer and copy the official ion update and flash again and made wipe?
Hi
Back on using a windows 7 computer applied update zip and it loaded fine this time thourght I was there, then the restore g.apps loads for two seconds and then says "restore aborted :see /tmp/recovery.log.
I see in the instructions if this happens to format the card and reboot, but if I format everything is wiped so do I have to reinstall files before reboot ?
Now I see that this is my problem because the boot load screen all time.
how to solve this?
how to put II5.tar via Odin and I can put in download mode.
II5.tar I tried to replace with another but the same thing
what happens when u try to put it into download mode??
RellikZephyr
nothing happens, but fix the problem so press call + end call and immediately after the reboot I press volume down + call + end call appeared on screen in a download mode.
I am now flashing with new I7500XXII5 firmweare.
The problem is in restore g.apps aborted with Windows Vista, france error log (Erreurs: le fichier de mise à jour est absent. Veuillez déposer le fichier de mise à jour dans / sdcard / renommé en) or englese (Error: the file update is absent. Please submit the file to update in / sdcard / renamed)
I do not know how to solve.
The problem is to make a flashing rom with Windows Vista because Vista is not made something good with II5.tar file.
I do not know what or how to fix it.
have you mounted the file renamed as II5 on the phones internal sd card??
and not the external sd card that you physically plug into the phone??
RellikZephyr
I copied the file II5.tar in internal sd card (8gb) with the update zip
there is a recovery image.tar
I have already tried many combinations but nothing.
I can not believe that this happens only to me.
Now I tried it and recovery img.4.2, 4.3,4.4 and 4.6.1 and still nothing.
I use a laptop Toshiba Satellite A210-10W with Windows Vista 32bit Service Pack 2
I have no problem with the ADB and the driver is properly visible in Device Manager.
I suppose that Vista changed extension of II5.tar into II5.tar.something.
You should enable show file extension in OS

Show or hide file name extensions
Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
Click the View tab, and then, under Advanced settings, do one of the following:
To hide file extensions, select the Hide extensions for known file types check box, and then click OK.
To display file extensions, clear the Hide extensions for known file types check box, and then click OK.

And then try to restore G.apps.
Also I have a problem.
When i have installed galaxo rom my built in modem wont work anymore. I ve tryed to query modem but unssucsessfuly. Any help with this matter would be appreciated. Thanks and regards, from Montenegro

Let start from the beginning to check all,
You need to download file GTi7500I7500VIAII5I7500XXII5I7500XXII5_500.zip /with samsung FUS/
rename archive file I7500XXII5-PDA-CL64494-REV5(VIA).tar. into II5.tar and copy to root of internal SD card.
If Vista has a problem with this file extenzion try to use 7-zip to extract archive.
I supose that Vista has problem with -tar extension and rename itself into the zip or something else that not known to adroid and therefore command restore G.apps dont work and if I am right, any commands from ADB tools will be unssucsessful since the changed file is unknown for android system.
Check these steps and tell me.

this will be translated soon
skinuo sam nekoliko puta i7500xxii5 i to sa Jdownloader-om koristio sam i 7zip za rapakiravanje preimenovao sam u II5.tar i prebacio na sd karticu.
svejedno stalno ista stvar.
This should be right command, (you have to be in recovery mode)
adb push II5.tar /sdcard/
Or in WIN os : adb push II5.tar \sdcard\
and then try to restore G.apps
Best regards,
I tried the command adb push II5.tar \ sdcard \ and now writes:
"II5.tar can not stat: No such file or directory
where must be II5.tar file?
in android-sdk/tools?

Hi, I am very new to android so this may be a stupid question but want to make sure before I proceed. The steps to update the firmware seem fairly straight forward, thank you for making it easy to understand. My questions concern the information here.
1. I can just update the firmware i.e put the II5 firmware on and nothing else that this post describes, is that correct?
2. The other question is will updating to O2 II5 firmware lock my cellphone? I am in Canada and I have a cell from Australia which is unlocked. Just wondering if updating it to the UK firmware will cause me any issues. And no this is not the Bell I7500L its the original I7500 phone.
Device(s): htc sensation
nokia n8
samsung galaxy (broken - waterdamage)

1. you don't need to do galexo (or whatever it's called, seems to sometimes be spelled with a, sometimes with e...), just vanilla firmware
flashing a new firmware will erase your phone's memory (not sd, but apps and settings), which you'll need to restore
2. no, it won't lock the phone. you'll wanna remove the csc (depending on the firmware package it'll be a file called cache.img or *.csc)

With the phone plugged in via USB and the phone off go to command prompt by typing in cmd in search or run box in windows and cd to the tools directory then
Type: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
It will say... < Waiting for device >
Long-press the two Call buttons on the phone and you will see it load in fast boot and confirm file transfer was successful.
The new recovery image will be flashed,
I just installed II5 in with android version 1.5.
I struck up with the next step that is " Installing recovery image and galaxy ROM".
1) With the phone plugged in via USB and phone off - Yes done by switching off the device and connecting device with laptop.
2) go to command prompt by typing in cmd in search - or run box in - If i type cmd in search / run bar ( space ) the curser is blinking where i can start typing any commond.
3) and cd to the tools directory then – Where i can see this and proceed ?? :-?
Even if i success in doing above. I have another question
4 ) Long-press the two Call buttons on the phone – is that OK button and call button ??

Hi frnds,
at last finally to a step to root my galaxy and flash custom roms.yesterday I successfully flashed with drakaz's recovery v6.1.I hav a few questions hopefully someone can answer dem for my help.I took d nandroid backup of my stock firmware II3 Running 1.5.
1.der r few terms which r in d recovery menu and all over d forums and features of custom roms plz xplain dem for me.to name a few
swap,fat32,ext3,ext4,jit,comcach,recovery partion etc.
2.now dat I hav a custom recovery image by drakaz is my galaxy rooted now.
3.I intend to flash d custom roms later but want to which is d most stable and fast rom available frm galaxo, gaosp etc.
Hi! When you have the custom recovery you're done with all the hard stuff.
1. You don't have to bother with any of those yet, and if you want to know most should be quite easy to search for and fins an explanation.
2. You don't have root access until you either enable it using the recovery menu, or until you flash a custom ROM with built in root.
3. Galaxo 1.6.3.4 is definitely the most stable Galaxy ROM today.
Nandroid backup is a wonderful thing as it allows you to get back to the exact state you were in before starting flashing ROMs or themes. Just remember that any messages or the like you have received since you took the last backup will be gone if you revert.
Very sorry to bump this year-old thread, but I've having a little trouble. Once I put the phone into download mode and hit start in Odin, it does its thing and says "4/4 finished". And then the phone starts to boot like normal, but then it gets stuck forever on the "android" screen. The phone still turns on normally, but once again gets stuck on that screen. I can boot into recover mode, but all the screen shows is a picture of a phone with a exclamation point behind it. I can also enter fast boot mode. Which leads me to believe it is not entirely bricked?
Anyhelp is greatly appreciated, and once again sorry for bumping this extremely old thread, I found it in the "List of Useful Resources" sticky.
Ok, so somehow it fixed its self, when I was in recovery mode I hit a button, I think it was endcall(bottom left). And then it just booted. It running 1.5 and has al the factory apps and stuff.
