I am assuming that this feature is common to most Android phones. But, I also presume that docks like this, while attractive and well-built, probably lack this feature. Am I correct? Any clarification would be appreciated. I need a dock pronto, because I use my phone as my alarm clock, and it isn't working well with just a loose cord.

This dock does not have a magnet in it. The HTC Inc. doesn't have the sensor in it to tell if it's docked or not.
