Default Is Custom ROM blocking Android Mkt and is there a fix?

Hi,
I rooted my phone and installed a version of Gingerbread I got from the forums. I'm not certain if it's a custom ROM, I think it's an official version?
It's from here:
http://android.clients.google.com/packages/ota/verizon_incredible/5059e5b6c5b2.OTA_Incredible_C_Gingerbread_S_VERIZO N_WWE_4.08.605.2-3.26.605.1_release_222220.zip

But lately when I try to install apps from the market, they're not found.

I did some reading--learned that some custom ROMs mess with a setting of some kind (I'm not knowledgeable about this).
It was suggested to have the apps pushed from the market website, which I've done for the last few.

But when I'm not near a computer I'd like it to behave normally.
Is there a fix for this "bug?" or could there be another cause for this problem?

Thanks so much.

That would be the update.zip file for gingerbread that you downloaded from my directions. That is 100% stock and should not be blocking the android market in any way.

Other than applying the low on space patch, what have you done that requires root?

It might be as simple as booting into recovery, clear the cache and the dalvik cache just like you did before.

Thanks, I will try clearing the caches again to see if that helps.

The only other things that require root (that I can think of) are, I installed Titanium backup and deleted some stock apps.
