I am going to buy a Droid incredible when someone else has flashed the DI to Cricket successfully. I really don't know to much about flashing phones. So therefore i think it's to bleeding edge even for my skills.

It seems doubtful that Cricket would do this since it could potentially make them liable.

Is the HTC Droid Incredible fully functional on Cricket. If not what functions are working. What is the flashing procedure from Droid Incredible to Cricket. I am assuming that the Droid Incredible has been rooted..?

The video showed a phone with the Cricket voice prompt. People are still trying to gain root access, which
is necessary to have full web functionality.

Cricket is a cheap cell service provider, kinda like Boost Mobile is/was. And they will flash any phone you bring them for a fee, $40 bucks sounds about right.

Sorry, but I just discovered that root access is available for HTC Droid Incredible (public:adb_in_recovery [RootWiki] ).(Unrevoked team: Incredible Root process - xda-developers ). My understanding is that it's quite difficult however. I am uncertain what the steps are to flash it to Cricket.

the video shows web, gps, and mms working thru 3g connection. the 611 dial shows it is on cricket

Default Cricket Flashing for $40.00
What stores in the Little Rock area are doing this?....I got the money to have it done...just never heard of a corporate store flashing phones...

I'd rather learn from you guys and do it myself though...the most Ive done in the past is PPC6700 to cricket with the help of the guys at ppc...

My local stores are quoting me $85 per phone for flashing. They said that they do need to install a custom rom. Is it possible for the poster who has the incredible that is functional on cricket to copy his rom for the rest of us? Not sure what's involved in that.

at the end he dialed 611 which calls your carrier's customer service in this case it went to cricket

Well I pay $40 to get it flash to cricket. Almost everything works but gor some reason the speed of the web and other things is really slow so if you planning to watch Youtube well it doesn't work like it should. The Android market works but again it's slow. Oh you can send pics but you can't get any. &

Does cricket require a data plan to activate??

I want to keep my incredible but with just a talk and text plan. I have no need for overpriced mobile web, that i pay for now.... wifi is everywhere.

Cricket has an unlimited everything plan for 55 dollars . And from what I hear Verizon wont let you use a non branded phone like the Evo on their network

Google cricket .prl put it on your phone and dial *228 or 611 HEllO
You dont need to flash anything or replace your ROM.
They just want your money.
If you can google and read before you start asking questions you might get somewhere.
Dont forget if you live in a tri-band market you can not use the Incredible on cricket.

From what I heard the verizon droid incredible by htc cant be flashed to cricket because its ran by a sims card and cricket dont do sim cards supposingly...Do anybody know if this is true or not...please help me out with this because I am thinking about going back to cricket and wanna know can I use this phone or do I need to get another one and sell this one wtbs Im new to this site and wanna say hi to everyone sooooo....hello everybody :-) <3 :-) <3 :-) <3

You must be on a stock sense rom.
Download this prl http://www.4shared.com/file/PH_7Y5Cz/38288.html?cau2=403tNull, and save it to your sdcard.
On the phone dial ##778# hit call.
Select edit mode, enter six zeros (000000) as the password.
Select prl, and then edit prl.
Select the prl file from the list and hit ok. Dont remember if it reboots on its own or not. If it just takes you back to the main prl menu hit the menu button and select commit modifications.

Then you need to call cricket and setup an account and register your phone. Once registered dial *228 and select activate phone.
