I'm using CaptJager's 1.1 with Hydra's Low Voltage, 802.11n kernel.

My phone officially flies now. I have great battery life and it's fast; I barely use peep or facebook so sense is useless to me (except the dialer, love the dialer!)

I use ADW.Launcher. Honestly, it is my favorite thing on the market.

Thanks again to NYC Coyote for the wallpaper.

How is your speed with that Low voltage kernal? What are your speeds on Quadrant? Just wanted to know. O and what Clock widget are you using. I am guessing that you are using Beautiful Widgets?

Hey man,

What battery are you using? Stock? 1500 OEM?

What's your phone usage like (light, moderate, heavy) and what are the conditions (radios on, brightness level, phone call duration, # texts, browsing, etc.)?

Thanks!

Seidio 1750, moderate usage. around 1.5h calling, 5-6 texts (it's summer, i'm a student, don't have much to do hehe) wi-fi on, gps on, no bt, light browsing, gmail push, exchange e-mail via k9 syncs every hour.

The phone is FAST. I've cleaned it up. Highly recommend 1.1 and now 1.6.1. Everything is much slicker in the UI.

Apparently quadrant doesn't think it's faster though hehe. Says 507 (right in line with stock Inc) will include pic in a second.

I used to be fearless with stuff like rooting, now I'm chickening out. Just wish I knew what I could do after rooting: what recommended steps, other things people have done, etc.

I'd like 802.11n and tethering (works on Mac?)
Underclocked/lower voltage for insane battery life
Better low signal dBower ratio (possible?)

Still trying to make sense of all the root/ROM threads.

If you put it on the sd card, go to recovery then "install zip from sdcard," choose the kernel zip file, then apply. reboot, enjoy!

Ok mine is running a little slower but just wanted to check, got a friends droid that is not up 1151 on quad, trying to catch up to him. Downloading Cyanogen right now and getting ready to run it.

EDIT: Just ran it, too buggie to tell, ran the test and it said 530, just better than stock. praying that a good 2.2 will get better scores

So what are the different ROM options right now and what are the differences? Which one is most stable? Which one gives the most features?

Is there a page I can look at?

Sorry if questions are annoying. I just want to do things right (root!).

Jager 1.0 and Jager 1.6.1 seem to be the most stable. Cyanogen Has a test out of 2.2 on here but it is real buggy. And there are also some kernel overclocks too.

Hehe, it's Beautiful Widgets (paid) with the Boca weather skin and Obsidian theme with like 50% transparency. I wish I could export. Maybe I'll suggest that to the dev.

Quick question - how can i get beautiful widgets. I tried through the market but my credit cards didn't work and they say they are invalid. (i purchased something with same card immediately after). Is there a special setting or payment method I can do?

I'm waiting for a true vanilla 2.1 or 2.2 rom that has everything working (gps/bt/etc.) before trying anything. I also hope a true kitchen gets released one day!

Uhh, Try a different card? Visit the dev's website and buy from him/her directly? I had no issues buying that app.

For those wanting a 2.2 ROM, Cyanogen is is working on CM6. We should have one here pretty soon. I think Jager has a vanilla 2.1 out already. Check the site with the roms.

Do you have any issues with it draining your battery?
I don't know what does it but that widget drains my battery in short order. It went from 80% to 40% in about 20 minutes and the battery says that widget uses 62% of the battery in that time span!! WTF? I think it may just be a setting but man that's like the black hole of battery juice. I hope it's just some setting I have going wild because its a nice widget but if I go from 100% to 0% in an hour and a half I'll do without.

I've had that widget from day one and it's been fine. I just went a little over 33 hours uptime with about (2 hours wake time). I wonder if you had an older version that did that?

Nope brand spanking new bought it just two days ago.
I don't know it seems like sometimes this Dinc just leaks power at and incredible rate. Some days It seems fine but other times it will lose 20% or more an hour for no apparent reason (well the battery usage blames it on BW lol).
I still haven't figured out why "Cell standby" uses so much power. Looking at the battery usage It looks like it takes as just as much power to sleep as it does to use the phone. I'm hoping the droid X doesn't do this but I'm thinking it's either some app or the OS itself causing some of these power issues.

I'm using a ROM from a developer over at Xda. It's stock rom with either blue or red accent and theme changes. Hydra kernel with 802.11n

Jager 1.7.4 with hydra .7 kernel. Amazing battery life! Yesterday I unplugged my phone at 6am, and by 9:00 pm (15 hours later), it was at 50%. Granted...I am using the 2150mah battery, but still I'm pretty happy!

Sky Raider 1.8beta. No Camera, and minor bug here and there, but overall really happy with it.

Quadrant Benchmark is in between 720-750
