Default Launcher Pro won't open

I install it and then I cannot find it and the "Open" button next to the install button is unclickable how come?

It is not an app like other apps.

Get home switcher. Open home switcher and Launcher should be an option and go to town.

Or go to menu -> applications -> manage -> HTC Sense -> Clear Defaults
Tap the home key, select "make default" and tap LauncherPro.
