I have been using HTC mail to access my yahoo email via IMAP for more than a year without issues. Starting yesterday however, the app won't download messages any longer. I have deleted and reconfigured the account a couple of times. I know that it is connecting/authenticating because it shows me all of the folder I have in yahoo.
I know the settings/servers are correct because they are the same as on my galaxy tab which is succesfully downloading emails via IMAP from the same account. Has anyone else seen this issue?
UPDATE:
So I left my yahoo account configured in the HTC email app set to manual sync. I checked it on monday and magically it started working again. Problem solved I guess. Too bad I've already started using K-9 to get my yahoo mail. Fingers crossed the rumors I've been reading are true and the DInc gets Gingerbread next week.

Reason: update that the feature started working again
I saw the same issue on an g-tablet, there is an official yahoo mail app in the market.
Thanks. I've used the yahoo mail app and dont like it because it doesn't cache emails like the HTC app does. I just installed K-9 mail for now until gingerbread is released where I hope this issue goes away.
Yup, same here. Worked fine from the Incredible launch until about three days ago. Now just shows "No mail" for my Inbox. The Conversations section still has topics and email in there, but nothing old or new in the Inbox.

At this point it's a flip of the coin each time I try it. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Its like some little man inside the phone is flipping a switch on then off then on then off..... VERY frustrating.
Exactly the same problem with HTC MAIL and Yahoo since yesterday
This is a disaster. I have several Yahoo accounts. Since I bought the phone (HTC Desire Z from Bell in Canada, located at Toronto), I have been using HTC Mail which came installed with the phone. It was excellent, I check my gmail and yahoo mail with it.
Since yesterday, my yahoo accounts don't respond. Gmail is fine and I don't have any problem with it on HTC Mail. Only Yahoo, it just get a message in the Yahoo Mail Inbox which says "Get More Messages: 84 messages total on server". I can click on it, when I click, I get the same message again, no matter how many times I click on it.
All my Yahoo accounts now show the same message(only the number of emails are different). I had to reinstall deficient Yahoo Mail to have access to my mail. Unfortunately can't install K-9 on my phone for some strange reason(it does not come up in the search in the market).
Does anybody know what is wrong and when this problem is going to be fixed?
COme on guys...the HTC senastion is 550.00 phone you're telling me nobody knows why the biggest email provider somehow does not work with HTC phones?? HTC are you listening! I'm taking your 550.00 paper weight back to the store in 12 days....:m ad:
So has anyone found a way to solve this problem that they can share? Mine hasn't been working for a week now. I've reconfigured a few times, but still says 'no mail'.
I have 2 yahoo accounts... one works perfect and the other says 'no mail' which is crap because I get things there daily from chat groups. The other account works fine. I don't get it. I just got a replacement because of the random rebooting issue and when I try to get up mail it says the yahoo server isn't responding on account #2 but it's working fine on #1... makes NO sense at all. I hope someone smarter than me can figure this out. I hate the yahoo mail app... it's a battery drain, you can't control as many settings...
@SDrawKCab25 do you have any suggestions or things to try that might work?
I have yet to find a solution on any of the devices I've tried, other than to use the official yahoo app. I've tried on a g-tablet, 2 htc incredibles, droid charge, and htc thunderbolt. All allow you to sign in, but will not pull any mail. The htc incredible, and g-tablet both just suddenly stopped working, no app or system changes.
