Hello everyone.
I really hope someone will be able to help me to fix this, have been scratching my head for some time and googled for hours without any success.
So the issue is that when I connect my phone to the pc it does not recognize it, it worked like maybe 2 weeks ago or possible more, not used it since then. It seems like it is charging but when I plugged it off after few min it seems it did not charge at all, connecting it via normal power outlet works charging fine. Anyway this is not main concern.

I get no notification about that I want to mount it to pc nothing appears simply.
I tried a different cable, tried different pc. Tried restarting, tried factory reseting, but no luck so far. I do not have usb debugging on. I also tried to toggle the ask me usb thingie and setting directly to disk drive also did not work.

I am really out of ideas what to do, will I have to go back to store and replace it?

Just some more information if it wasn't clear. Phone is HTC Incredible S , it is not rooted or anything.

Android version is 2.3.3 and htc sense is 2.1

ALso noticed there is a incredible S forum sorry about that if some mod can move it there it would be great, thanks.

I'd like to 2nd this with the same problem. It was about a week and a half ago that I last attached my DINC to my computer to check out some photos and it worked fine; plugged it in, selected disk drive, and had the 2 drives pop up in Windows. As of last night I plugged it in and I don't get anything. No phone in My Computer or in the Device Manager. Unrooted phone - desktop running Windows 7 x64. The same USB cable charges the phone fine in the wall and both my mouse and illuminated keyboard (I know the ports are supplying power) work in any of my USB ports. I've tried rebooting both computer and phone and starting the HTC sync install again for drivers.

Edit: Roommate came home and I used the same cable to connect to his computer and the phone was recognized instantly and I got the phone option menu (charge, sync, disk drive, etc.) Guess it is for sure a computer issue.

I have tired it on 3 different computers , Win 7, win xp and win xp. So it's not that for sure. Unless all 3 pcs have same issue
