Default USB Driver/ADB Driver Problems

In case anyone else is having problems getting their Incredible to connect, the easiest way I found to install the USB drivers are with the HTC sync program here:
http://member.america.htc.com/download/Driver/DROID_INCREDIBLE_Verizon/HTC_Sync_2.0.33.exe

The google SDK driver doesn't yet work with the Incredible, and though it can be hacked - this download might be easier for some.

Default EasyTether shortcut

The quick way I got my DInc ADB drivers was to install the PC desktop part of EasyTether from here:

Download EasyTether drivers

(explanations here: Google Android Tethering Solution)

You don't have to use EasyTether at all (even though it is an excellent way to tether your computer w/o paying an extra monthly charge). After installing it, plug in your phone to USB and watch the Hardware Wizard go to town.

p.s. I looked at the HTC Sync download options, but didn't really see anything for the HTC DInc. If you click on the link above, it goes straight to HTC instead of the driver .exe (http://www.htc.com/www/support.aspx)
