new zte warp sync 5" quad core

I like it. It does seem to waste a lot of ram, though, but it's much snappier than my old ZTE Force. Even though it has 2GB ram it tends to put itself to 80% really fast, which tends to be the 'lag point' where I start to see performance issues on my phones. No root yet, I put a few posts in the Root subforum for this phone, and one-click classics don't work on it. I'd love to have root, it does have plenty of bloatware as with all Boost phones.

Doesn't Work (as of yesterday):
RootGenius
TowelRoot
Framaroot

I've also tried the chinese or asian version of whatever country it is of Root Genius the newest one and that does not work either. There bootloader is not locked, but I read somewhere about the system being write-protected. There are no known exploits as of yet. The kernel source is available for it to crack and such but I do not know but about all of that. Here is the link for any devs that want to help out. Http://opensource.ztedevice.com/ look for N9515. At least I believe its the source code I've never looked it up before for any phone but eh idk. IDK I'd have to disagree with the speaker not being loud. I have to compare this to my S4 and although it does suck up ram that is just the stock ZTE framework doing that. I feel the speaker is actually quite loud and not too distorted once it reaches a max level. I feel once rooted that seeder is going to make it great and once rooted a recovery or rom will make it awesome as well. BTW. I tried towelroot with the midstrings and tried like a hundred of them and nothing....

TO ALL,

It has come to my attention from a great dev I know that has helped me to TRY and root this.......this has a secure boot img. Until a group of developers come out with an insecure boot.img this device is unrootable.....no sort of exploits or rooting options out there will work on this guys until an insecure boot.img is made. There no use to get our hopes up and try until something becomes legit.

Regards,
Sean

Hi

Just got the Warp Sinc and compared to the Sharp Aquos Chrystal this is a really great phone. I bought the Sharp when on sale for $109 and wasn’t that happy with it. The phone wasn’t a true 5 inch screen with the function buttons being located in the screen. The volume of the speaker is low as is the ear speaker. The camera only takes decent pictures when not using the zoom, the camera again is only decent. When using the zoom the camera couldn’t focus properly. Not being able to transfer files to the sd card was also an issue.

Now for the warp sinc. Volume is great on both the speaker and ear piece, yea. The camera takes very good pictures with and without the zoom being used, yea. Transferring files to the sd card is easy, yea. Added features to create folders in the apps tray, yea. The 4G is very good but I do see a lower signal on the phone than the sharp or for that fact my old Samsung S2. Running at 100 to 109 dbm at my home. The call quality does seem very clear though. My wife’s Boost Max also has lower readings. Could it be a ZTE antenna issue?

I do plan to call ZTE about the strength issues but over all I’m good!
