Root [Boost Mobile] (L710TVPU0AO3) Recovery Install

OK this baseband is tricky to install recovery.
Follow these simple steps you'll be good to go.It took me a day messing with it to figure it out.Sounds messed up but it works.

1.You'll need to Odin TWRP once in this recovery you'll see if you backup it fails.

2.After TWRP you'll need to go back to Odin and flash Philz.

3.After philz reboot into philz make a backup.

4.Now your set philz is now installed.

Now you can go on about your flashing as normal.

All ROM you flashed before you updated will still work as before.

This should work with Virgin Mobile/Boost and Sprint Triband Models.

Update:
To get TWRP to work do as above steps then flash TWRP in philz recovery and it works.
It has been confirmed by a few that regular flashing of recovery works fine.

Just stating this was the only way for on my device to work.

Damn it didnt work. I flashed the most recent twrp and the philz and still cant get into recovery.

Make your holding button combo until you see the blue rebooting recovery in top left corner of the phone.It takes a few secs longer on this baseband.And try it all again it does work.

Its not working for me. I just reflashed openrecovery-twrp-2.8.5.0-d2spr.tar.

And then the philz in the OP and then I held the buttons down I see the first blue line of text and then nothing the screen goes black until I let go of the buttons and then it boots into the stock rom. Damn

Mine I tried it a third time and I even pulled the battery right after I installed twrp and no dice. I am fricken unrooted.

I just restored to Wicked X BB and now it is showing another update. Weird. I am on the same baseband as you.
