quick question, if this phone is block with an email, can it be undone by flashing it back to out of box stat?

Probably means it has been reported stolen and that you cant activate it

yeah kinda figure that cause the phone is brand new, and selling it that low...

Yep. She means "bad ESN", meaning it can't be activated on Metro. It could be flashed to another provider, but don't ask us how.

Or not. If she said blocked by email, maybe she's talking about the Android feature whereby if you forget your unlock code or pattern, you can login with your gmail account credentials to access your phone. If she also forgot her gmail password, that's probably why she's saying it's locked by email.
If that is what she's talking about, then I do think a master clear, or at least a full flash should be able to get you past that lock screen.

press R at the same time as power to turn it on then follow the insturctions and clear both cache and data

Im pretty sure with metro even if they report it stolen you can wait like 60 days to activate it. Ill find out and let you know my buddy works for them.
