Use GPS essentials instead to monitor and change GPS data.
Use the app FasterFix from xda (also available on the play store) to optimize data. You will only need to use it once.
you may also think about using the hidden dialer shortcut GPSCLRX before applying the xda fix.

Hopefully, that should get you somewhere.

nope still the same i thinking its the phone now...i might reflash to stock and see if it works that way...if not ill just looking into replacing the phone....

I attempted to install this basix rom through ROM manager and I got an error message when the phone went into recovery. So then I took the advice up top to hard reset my phone and disaster struck. Now I cannot download anything from the android market besides gmail and my settings icon disappeared completely from both the home screen and the applications list. What am I supposed to do, this phone is now as good as brick and I am out of warranty. My phone was rooted for about a year prior to this attempted installation.

Reboot into recovery and reinstall basix. Rom manager gives some problems on the indulge. Re-do it through cwm recovery, it will be fine.

Don't do it through rom manager.

You just download the new animation zip file and move it to system/media on the indulge.

Ok. I need help. I had the pattern screen unlock on my phone and my wife was messing with my phone and took it off and now its locked on the puzzle screen and I have no idea how to unlock it. It says "phone locked" at the bottom. I have seen this screen lock before and usually there is a yellow puzzle piece sticking out and u just move that one to unlock the phone, but that is not the case here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure never. Its been discontinued, most people have moved on to other phones. I'm sure k0nane has better stuff to do than update a rom on this old phone. Sorry bro.

Indeed, I have no plans to move forward with this unless 2.3 magically comes along. At this point, most of my interest in these devices leans toward the R915.

There's really no point.. the indulge is really old, old tech, and most people have moved on to better phones. There's nothing to gain in developing for this phone anymore.

to konane or any 1 that knows how to do it.. i have basix on my r10 indulge but i want to know if you can remove or disable the ads block in the rom i use text plus is an app that allows you to make calls and you can earn minutes by doing some surveys but that feature doesn't work due to some kind of ads blocker but the app works fine in the stock ROM witch lead me to think the problem is on the basix ROM any help is appreciated

i hit the download button in the power menu . what does this do? it says downloading do not turn off target . This is the first time i tried to root a phone and it worked great I just hit the button by mistake and am afraid to interupt what it is doing. Is there a readme or instruction of what the download button does? thanks if anyone can help

I installed this ROM and it is a beautiful thing. It just needs a little time and love, that's all. I only inserted back the essential files i needed yet so far no issues at all. Only that it has no boot up sound but it runs smoooth and fast. Time and love make this ROM perfect on this phone. Thank you so much Kokane.

As for the GPS issue I just uninstalled and looked through apps till I got one that works. GPS now working like a charm.

Mapquest for android seems to work.

i did some extensive testing on the gps with mapquest. It works for navigation. no fancy 3-d stuff but the phone overheats. gps nav works with mapquest.

There is the bootanimation app which among other things has this animation. androidglow.zip install this app and flash that's it. that is the boot animation i have but no sound yet.

Ok first sorry if this issue has already been solved but I can't find no answers, I accidentaly hit the download button on the list that pops up when you press the power button for like 3seconds and my phone is only showing like a droid doing construction work lol and in letters it says downloading... Do not turn off target!!, I have no idea wtf this is doing and why it is taking so long any help please?

Just hold down the power button until it reboots, you'll be fine

K0nane or someone can be kind enough to tell me the files in basix used for the costume screen locks and the phone options screen when pressing the power button. i would like to use those file in my stock rom if possible basix is good but i prefer using v6 supercharger no offence. P.s i appreciate all the work your done for us K0nane

look in the tar for the lock screen settings, it's a whole apk change, so you will need to grab that from k0nane's Basix ROM.
As for the power menu fix, look in there for the file android.policy.jar
that's where you'll find it.
Just remember to be careful, and MAKE A BACKUP (or two...)

So basically, you will need settings.apk, framework-res.apk, twframework-res.apk, android.policy.jar
you may need something else, but I can't remember at the top of my head... sorry.

Yeah looks like there is a file associated with setting.apk from basix in order to get it to work on stock rom. got the power menu fix to work but still can't get the lock screen to work thanks anyway i'll keep looking

After using this for a few months i started using wifi a lot and noticed it had no hostname set by default, so i went looking around and the scripts in /etc/init.d/ did not have executable permissions. not sure if its something i inadvertently did or was installed that way.

edit: lost root after doing this i guess

I installed Basix yesterday on my r910 and everything is great, like a new phone again, but when attempting to install custom themes i got a notification saying the rom was not deodexed. Is this solved by another install? I also have the electric sheep kernel if that makes a difference.
P.S. Before this rom i didn't think it was possible to hate an inanimate object as much as this buggy phone. thank you for this rom!

I installed this a while ago and it worked perfectly but Google Play stopped working. I reinstalled this mod again and still get "Package Invalid" when attempting to install anything. Also it will not update to latest version of Google Play.

I downloaded the apk for Google Play to my sd card, but I don't have a file explorer because I can't download from Google Play. What should I do?

I am trying to install a new app and I was only able to install one app through the play store. Since then, whenever I try to install an app I get the error, "Package file is invalid". I tried cleaning caches, etc. Any tips? It still shows the original "Market" app rather than the "Play" store. I am using the device over WiFi. The original carrier was Metro PCS.
