Default Getting the data to work on Inspire, using GoPhone Service

I have the HTC Inspire 4g, i have been told if i put it on prepaid (cuz i want the 50 plan) that my data will not work unless i have WiFi.

How ever after reading some stuff online i think all i have to do is change some APN settings? But i cant figure out how to do so... help plz?

Thanks!

The fundamentals of it are there, but no, it is not possible.

The reason being is that the data is only recognized by the network of AT&T. That prepaid phone company uses a different network.

It should work. Is this an AT&T inspire? If so, just make sure the AT&T APN is correct and selected. If not and AT&T phone, you need to enter the AT&T APN.

no, gophone is using the AT&T network.
all prepaid companies are basically "reselers" of one of the major carriers services.

AT&T: Owns and operates its own network
Consumer Cellular: Uses the AT&T network
U.S. Cellular: Owns and operates its own network

Verizon Wireless: Owns and operates its own network
Straight Talk: Uses the Verizon Wireless network
Jitterbug: Uses the Verizon Wireless network
Page Plus Cellular: Uses the Verizon Wireless network

Sprint: Owns and operates its own network
Kajeet: Uses the Sprint network
Boost Mobile: Uses the Sprint network
PlatinumTel: Uses the Sprint network

Cricket: Uses the Leap Wireless network

MetroPCS: Owns and operates its own network

T-Mobile: Owns and operates its own network

U.S. Cellular: Owns and operates its own network

TracFone Wireless: Uses AT&T on most Motorola phones, T-Mobile on most LG phones and Verizon Wireless or U.S. Cellular on most phones without SIM cards

Virgin Mobile: Uses Sprint in the U.S. and T-Mobile in the United Kingdom

I am curious about this myself. TMy phone is rooted and unlocked and I was wondering if I just went out and bought a AT&T GOphone with an unlimited data, calling and text if it's just as easy as slapping in the the new SIM into my HTC.

Also was curious if this is a good work around the AT&T tethering Nazi's.
