Thought it would be a good idea to get a list of keyboards that work with the Inspire, without rooting/sideloading. These are the ones Ive tried so far.

Strange at first, I liked it once I used it for a bit, but its not for me long term. 8pen website

Kind of a swype knock-off, seems like it has less features then swype. The demo is like 2 weeks or something, the full version is $7, not worth it IMHO.

Better Keyboard 8 and Gingerbread Keyboard are both pretty similar. I like the option of having the "?" avalible without a long press, but I do miss the direction buttons that the stock keyboard has. Easy to fix typos.
Go Keyboard is kind of simillar, but i prefer the previous two.

Currently I'm using SwiftKey BUT I have desperately been seeking a keyboard skin with keys that are a little bigger. I tried ThickButtons but keyboard layout truly sucked. I've tried every Better keyboard that looked like they might be bigger, to no avail. Anyone have any suggestions for a skin that has bigger keys with a decent keyboard layout? TIA!
the past couple of days i have been having a problem with swiftkey. randomly a letter will stop working, not always the same letter too. i can tap the letter all day long and nothing. i have to switch input methods and when i go back to swiftkey it will work fine for a little bit then again a letter will stop responding to touch. at first i thought i had a dead spot on my screen but the entire screen responds in other apps, only an issue with the keyboard.

I had slideit on my hero. It was okay. I had to keep deleting it and then reinstalling because it would just quit working.
I'm currently using Swype, Better Keyboard, and stock keyboard. Swype is by far my favorite,I just wish they'd introduce skins like others so you wouldn't have to uninstall/install different ones when ya want a new look for it.
When I was on my Droid X, I used Swiftkey Beta X and thought it was fantastic. So far I like the HTC keyboard or whatever it is that comes by default with the Inspire.

i'm switching back and forth between the Swiftkey X beta and Swype. both are really good keyboards with each having unique quirks that make them work great.
but i'm starting to prefer Swiftkey because as it learns from my typing it makes REALLY accurate predictions. i also synced it with my SMS & twitter account so i can type almost full sentences with just a few taps.
i prefer the Swiftkey X which i got from the amazon a more accurate and stabled keyboard app...Swype is good but at times it hasnt been functioning properly for me.
Swift Key X all the way. After letting it learn from your gmail, facebook, etc, and using for a while, the predictions are scary good. Its like its reading my mind.

Im trying to give it the benefit, but I hate this keyboard so far.
I'm using the Gingerbread keyboard and the Go keyboard, I think they are both really good except sometimes when I pick the gingerbread keyboard or switch back to stock it freezes and I have to do a force close on my messenger app.

Im currently and have been using Smart Keyboard Pro (4.6.3 currently) for a long time and keep installing on my new phones. Skins are nice, and the characters to long hold are perfect for me.
Im not a fan of SwiftKeyX really and haven't tried many others. But I will now check out the ones listed in this thread.
