FYI-Developers not supporting Exynos powered phones...
Posting this in here too because I didn't want it to get lost in the other thread, for all of you that plan on rooting the Note 2 and were hoping to use a custom ROM from CyanogenMod Team.

Is it still a problem after this:
Samsung releases Galaxy Note II source code, gives modders a big fish to fry -- Engadget ?
Not sure if it is about the same topic, so just asking to get some more knowledge on the subject.

I sure hope Sammy patent this.. Is would never be able to use this?
Google should help make this work.. Not fighting it.
This would be a huge differentiator.

You can bet if a patent hasn't been filed for yet Apple is probably in the process as we speak.
I was thinking about getting one but if there isn't going to be ROM support then it is a dead issue.

But you can still "root" the phone to gain super user access correct?
Just not a "CyanogenMod" rom...there is other roms isnt there?

Yes, still rootable (from my understanding), just certain developers not supporting to create custom ROMs for it. There are a lot of developers out there that create custom ROMs, but CyanogenMod is one of the most popular, which I'm sure could be a deal breaker for certain people that enjoy their ROMs.
