NTFS support
Hello everyone.
I have rooted my s3 international to get ntfs support as the now famous compatibility video from androidNZ shows. I am using wanamlite rom ICS only, and siyah kernel which should support NTFS. But my problem is that it does not connect! I tried a program called Paragon and then connects, but in a bad way, not as smooth as in above mentioned video. Anyone have any knowledge of this problem?
Must say this is my first root attempt, so maybe something I've done wrong?

What exactly are you wanting to use NTFS support for?

I want to connect av disk drive with movies in it. Especially mkv files, which usually are too big for fat32.

I thought you could just use ext3/ext4 for that, on the drive containing the movies? Or possibly exfat, as it's apparently compatible with android?

Ext is no good for windows users. Exfat should work.
Sorry haven't tested ntfs yet

Ok. It says "blank usb mass storage or unsupported file system". Both my windows and Linux boxes can read the content

Yes, exactly the same as mine, yet siyah kernel states that it supports both exFat and ntfs. I have formatted my external sd card in exFat, and all is fine, but I wont change my drive, because theres so many movies in it!

It supports NTFS in another way. I have mounted my NTFS network drive using the CIFS.ko module.
I've asked in the thread:

It does. ...but only through cifs, i.e network mounted.
