Default 3 minute framework - I9505 deodexed only ;-)

Despite suggesting it'll take 3 minutes to change your framework, this mod, does it a helluva lot quicker!

Firstly what it does....in lamens terms(because I is thick, init) this mod allows you to change the colours of items on the notification bar, change icons(slightly limited from what I've seen, but still able to) and change things on your drop down menu. It also incorporates many other mods usually flashed via cwm such as torch on lockscreen and back to kill.

as always you firstly should make a backup. Download the appropriate framework for your current Rom(this is only for deodexed roms) flash it via recovery and download/install the appropriate corresponding app!

There are both free and paid options available, the free version is essentially older versions(about three versions behind the current paid) this means that you may miss some features that if you want them you'll need to pay( less than 2 from the play store!)

Current free version is 2.3, as I'm still on mf8, I downloaded 2.3 framework, and 2.3 app!

When you change the colour or icon or even picture, it changes instantly so no more booting into recovery to try and change it again etc.I'll add a few pictures of what I've created(if I can) but if you like to change the look and have a particular colour in mind, this app/mod/theme is for you!

Been using this in earnest for a while now (not that Earnest was especially pleased) much to ironass' inconvenience (as he was plodding on quite merrily before I pointed this out to him)

It makes Jkay's GB/ICS framework look inferior, with SO much tweaking and fine-tuning of the general system ui possible. And the dev seems like an excellent guy too. Extremely knowledgeable (he helped the brilliang Goldieking of Alliance ROM out a lot) and very friendly and helpful too.

It's so good, I even paid for the app!

It really is quite great....you can also still flash custom icons, for example I've flashed one of the 800 battery mods by nad(I think that was who did them.Lol) and I set the color to white in 3 minute settings, this allowed the intended colour if the icon to show (it's a despicable me one! :-P)

Why, oh, why, oh why... do I let Hawker suck me in to his nefarious schemes?

He contacted me last week about this mod and asked if I'd tried it... which, I admit, I hadn't got round to trying.

Having had my interest nudged by the Welsh Wizard I thought I'd give it a go. I was dubious at first as I was already running the Xposed framework which is required for the Dual Bug Fix in Android, see, here.

I made a nandroid backup and flashed the framework via Recovery and it worked a treat! Best of all, it did not interfere with my Bug Fix!

I gladly paid the 1.28p, unlike Hawker who says it is coming out of the money he was saving to buy me a beer at Christmas, for the 3Minit Settings S4 from the Play Store and set about configuring it.

I managed quite quickly to get my centre clock and change it to a darker shade of grey as well as changing my battery icon to one I could easily see with %. Finally I colourised my signal and Wi-Fi icons and made my Notification bar transparent. It then dawned on me that these were the very mod's that Hawker had promised to make for me!!!

There are tons of configurations that you can do that involve things like the lock screen and toggles on the drop down menu. I added a sixth toggle for torch!

Being antediluvian and set in his ways means the old ferrite posterior needs a short sharp shove to change anything.
This also explains the reason why it's only the stubborn undercracker stains that are holding his Y-fronts together.

The truth is sntaylor... that between maintaining the SGSII Dummies Guides and writing a whole new load of S4 Dummies Guides and flashing God knows what, to test on my phone... not to mention the rigorous modem testing that I was forced to carry out on everyone's behalf...

I RAN OUT OF TIME!

UPDATE

New update, v3.1 flashed.

3Minit app updated via Play Store.

Don't take it personally Taylor. I heard there were extra requirements to be accepted into Hawker and ironass's inner echelons

i tried your minion battery icon today - quite cool taylor. infact, there's a lot of icons to choose from, 800 in fact, if you like pimping your battery. and they all seem to work with 3minit, see here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2280597
first select the circle battery (top of the list) in the 3minit app, it wont work if you've got anything else ticked. also untick use any battery colour option.
then download zip and flash
make sure

3minit really is the dogs bollocks, i was always looking at new roms to flash, mainly for the tweaking features they included, but 3minit is tweak heaven, and means i get the same lush customization no matter what rom i try. i know jkay also does this, and in no way would i knock it as i have used that extensively in the past, but 3minit offers so much more. its a very small price to pay, and the dev does respond to bugs in a very quick fashion. vers 3.1 of minit works very lush on wanam MGA. lovely combo.

Has anyone else noticed that with the latest version the app will force close when trying to change the button actions or is it just me?

New 3.2 framework for MGA is currently not working, (keeps boot looping for me), and the dev has acknowledged this and promises to fix it tomorrow, (for him in Brisbane... later today on BST). So don't bother installing the new 3Minit framework from the Play Store just yet.

There is a way to get around it for now, but the new screen-off effects (crt and fade) still do not work.
Install 3.2 framework, uninstall the 3.1.1 app, then re-install 3.2 app from the play store.
I think its just a case of removing /data/app-asec/com.three.minit-2.asec, but uninstalling is probably easier.

Personally tho, I shall wait until tomorrow.

Well I didn't wait....premature as per usual.

Can confirm, installing 3.2 framework, remove settings app via playstore, then re-installing the app via playstore works just fine.

I really ought to upgrade firmware, I'm still on mf8.lol

thing is, I've got the phone set up the way I really like it, red lightening for lockscreen, black message on lockscreen nfc on (you guessed it) lockscreen and 3 minute free on v2.6 allowing torch on lockscreen ;-) to be perfectly honest,I just can't be bothered hunting down all the same mods for mga, I've made one step closer though, I downloaded echo Rom lite today, so will maybe give it a go, tried probam or bam pro whatever it is(aokp based) but as much as I like many of the features,I still prefer the mods available in Sammy roms!

3.2.1 framework is now up.
And just to keep that finicky old ferrite posterior happy, I've even supplied the changelog.

3.2.1(15/08/2013)
Fixed Blocking mode icon
Fixed Smart eye icon
Fix header am-pm size fc
Other tweaks and improvements

Added 3 languages:
French
German
Norwegian

Thanks to the translators

App will be available soon.

If coming from v3.1.1 or older data wipe required or v3.2 just flash.

What a pleasant surprise!

What about the smell I asked and was told that the pigs would soon get used to it!

Added a warning for anyone on anything other than v3.2 framework as I feel there will be a few people who will update the Play Store app without being on the v3.2 framework.

Word of warning with 3.2.1 framework.
If you were eager (like me...premature AGAIN!) you may have downloaded the wrong version (3Minit_Framework_3.2.1_MGA_MD5_4B187DFE559BC40EC3 28033CE41A4D6F)

This was taken down and updated, but still 3.2.1.
The correct version for 3.2.1 to download is in fact 3Minit_Framework_3.2.1_MGA_MD5_E28FE57857C3CC35263 AC9A61FA53187

3.2.1 still seems too fiddly to get "working", had a go, uninstalled the app, installed the framework, it works to a certain extent, but no CRT off still without dabbling with titanium backup (CRT off works fine on 3.1 with a diff mod), and got an FC just for changing summat to do with the date (can't remember now). the dev mentions doing a data wipe, surely not a wipe of your installed rom, just to get the latest version working? not enough goodies on the changelog this time round, will sit it out till the dust settles

So what on earth did I install?

Turns out I wasn't so premature and lasted it out for the real deal.

Never had a problem with Live Wallpaper but still cannot get CRT off to work. No big deals though.

Try this old my old welly boot:

Set all your 3minit configuration first.
Lastly set CRT effect
Dont reboot whenasked
Go into titanium backup, save 3minit app
Do a straight uninstall of 3minit in TB (no data wiping etc)data/cache.
Reboot phone.
Use titanium backup to restore 3minit app and data.
Now go in 3minit app, to choose your screen off effect
Reboot when asked

Workio!

(You didn't really expect me to do a 9 step instruction on a Saturday night, did you? )

UPDATE

Just received a Play Store update to the 3Minit app. After installation it asked me to update my framework to 3.2.2, which I am already on. I chose to ignore it!

Just a wee note for people, I restored a backup I had made yesterday however encountered a problem where the time wouldn't change on my notification bar(lockscreen kept correct time)And then my timer didn't work either.....I did a wipe if cache as and dalvik(under advance on philz!) This did the trick and it's working fine now :-)

Doh, major mistake on my part. I'll post what I did as a warning.

New SGS4 set up how I wanted rooted, Philz CWM successfully installed, Busy Box installed, first Nandroid done, efs backup done, titanium backup done.

Right down loaded this 3minit framework :

3Minit_Framework_2.2_MEA_MD5_91F5B01591A5C1471A13B C9886B43101

Correct for my firmware (I9505XXUBMEA) you might think, Nope I'm still running stock Vodafone odexed ROM.

Flashed it and it seriously borked my phone. It booted but was in that stupid 'easy' mode, which FCed almost instantly on every boot.

I think my odexed ROM caused it. It has to be. Thank heavens for Nandroid.

Without a doubt dynomot, old son!

As it says in the first line of the dev's post #1, here...

"For Jellybean 4.2.2 DEODEXED roms only"

Also in sntaylor's post #1 of this thread...
