Default Backing up EFS on Galaxy S4

Hi there,
I am going to flash cyanogenmod on my Galaxy S4 GT-I9505. But i read that i have to back up some data. I tried to use "EFS Professional" but though i confirmed that popup where it says something with "RSA fingerprint" and the SU request, knox blocks it. So this way seems not to work.

Now i just installed "root explorer" and manually back up the efs folder. It seems very small. Is that enough?

Can i flash now?

That backup would be fine however it may be hard to restore if it was needed as you will need to use adb. If you have philz recovery you can use that to backup and restore the efs.

I've moved this over to all things root

Can i use that though i have twrp installed?

i also did a backup with twrp and selected the efs partition, but it's so small, too.

You would need to replace twrp with philz. In my opinion philz is better anyway so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

What is in the EFS folder and why does it need to be backed up?

It contains your imei number so if it gets wiped while flashing (not very common but has been known to happen) you won't be able to use your phone except as a Wi-Fi device.
