I'm running AOKP Build 23. Also have a nandroid with Liquid beta 5, but I can't go without my Lucid theme, and AOKP has more/better support, so that's where I stay.

Careful, to the OP, are you running a GSM or Verizon version? The roms are different between the two so you may mess up your phone. elmerjr, like me, are on Verizon GNex's.

OK, you can check out the All Things Root subforum in this forum. I'll take a peek as some of the ones elmerjr recommended may have GSM versions available.

The AOKP rom elmerjr mentioned has a GSM. I know a lot of folks like this rom, here is a link the it (Android Open Kang Project - maguro - build 23 - RootzWiki). This is another good place to check out (http://androidforums.com/galaxy-nexus-all-things-root/447369-official-galaxy-nexus-rom-theme-kernel-list-updated-12-22-2011-a.html).

When looking at roms, you want to make sure you are getting maguro builds as these are for the GSM version. Toro builds are for CDMA (Verizon)

Moving thread to Galaxy Nexus All Things Root sub forum
Reason: Root specific topic for GSM version of the G Nex

thanks for understanding

Definitely going to have to say aokp and lean kernel. Found the best results with that.
