Question Backup Question

When you do a general backup (via HTC website) does it also backup the stock ROM? If not what is the best way to backup of the stock ROM? I wanted to root my HTC One (dev edition) and wanted to make sure I had a copy of everything originally installed incase I ever had to go back to factory settings. Thanks.

You don't really need a "Stock" Backup
these can be downloaded from XDA.
But as soon as you install CWM Recovery it's very easy to make a backup... Even to a USB OTG flash drive. Just save this first backup in a safe place.

Really? I was on there last night and didn't see one for the One. Thought it was because the device was so new but I must have somehow missed it.

Those lucky enough to have the Developers Edition (1.29.1540.3) can also find this straight from HTC HERE, in 3 flavors
