Default Rooting and re install everything?

I have an HTC One M7 and I'm just tired to have apps that I don't want to. My question is: if a root my phone, I have to re install everything or it will remain as it is but rooted?

I know they are several ways to backup and restore but I would like to avoid to go through that...

Thx!

The first step in rooting your phone is unlocking the bootloader at htcdev.com ...this step alone will completely wipe your device.

Sorry,no away around the data wipe at least once. After you are rooted, you can make periodic backups so that you always have a current copy of your setup that you can restore.

Another thing to consider is that while rooted, you cannot accept OTA updates. Being rooted is a bit of a commitmen, and not for everyone.

Just holler if you have further questions
