Default Bootloader - locked or not?

So...will the HTC One X be released with the bootloader locked or unlocked? Much speculation on the interweb but not been able to find anything concrete one way or the other.

Locked I suspect, but as with most HTC devices you'll probably be able to unlock with htcdev.

Its a hard one to guess. Some HTC desires come back from repair as being S-Off.

I would expect it to be unlocked, but that unlocked bootloader doesn't give as much free reign as the Alpharev bootloaders do. Fastboot is not fully functional.

We'll just have to wait and see but it will only be a matter of time until some crafty dev gets around it.

if locked, im not worried, HTC seems to be the easiest phones to work with as far as getting root and unlocked the way people want

I don't know about easy, but HTC devices definitely have very strong developer support, which is typically why I always stick with their products.
