Just wanted to say Hi.
I've been waiting for this OS for awhile now and am glad it's finally out!
Oh, and lovin my G1

For a living, I work for an electric utility.
I am a total newb to Android but I think I might try my hand at learning to use Eclipse and the SDK to see if I can make something. I have some c++ and java under my belt but it's been a few years.
Anyway, Nice forum and lots of great info here.

Welcome, Durf.

There are lots of newbs here and plenty of self-professed long-time mobile geeks as well. Its a nice (and growing) mixture and everybody seems to fit in just fine.

Good luck diving into the SDK, it sounds like you've got a great "base" of knowledge with which to start.
