Hi, Im new on here, and I have had a new Mid for my birthday, I am trying to register it on amazon kindle, and I need the 16 digit serial number,

I go into about device,and I get the above message, my device is not charging,

Welcome to the Android Forums!

The error you are getting is called a Force Closed or FC. Unfortunately it happens periodically on Android devices. What brand/model MID do you have? Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the Kindle App?
