Notsure Status 0

After rooting my droid and installing clockworkmod and rom manager I went to recovery mode, wipe to factory settings, delete data, and wiped cache. Now when I try to install from sd it is giving me a E: Error in /sdcard/update.zip or E: Error in /sdcard/darkslideblur_v4.2.zip both reporting under the error a status 0. I have searched Google and found no real answers. I had found a couple of people complaining about this error, but no real answers or fixes. I cannot start up my phone, the only thing I can do is open the recovery at the beginning or it will sit on the moto symbol forever. I have to pull the battery to turn off. If anyone know why this is happening or, better yet, has a fix, please let me know.

Welcome! Make sure you have the right rom for the right version of Android. Also, please let me know which Droid you have as this should either be moved to your phone's root section or you should create a new topic in your phone's root section.

Good luck!

it is the original Motorola droid. And what is my root section? i thought it could be just on the SD Card i was unaware it had to be in a specific folder.

Sorry Steven, I do not mean to come off as rude and ungrateful. I really do appreciate the assistance. I was just excited to hear that there maybe a solution to my blunder.

For your phone you'll likely find good information here...

Motorola Droid - Android Forums

And the sub-forum that Steven was referring to in his post is here...

Droid - All Things Root - Android Forums

Usually the best info relative to root access of your phone can be found in the "All Things Root" forums.
