Laugh handcent

i downloaded handcent on my phone but if u go to my contacts and select send a message it still shows my texts without putting a password.

There's a setting in Handcent to undo pop up notifications.

Welcome to the Android Forums!

To further what Steven said you need to tell the phone that Handcent is now your default SMS app. Oh and don't forget to turn off notifications on the default text messaging app. Otherwise you might get duplicate notifications.
