Default How do i set up a Notification Tone in Silent Mode For HTC Incredible S

Hi,
Can anyone help? I would like to be able to set my phone to silent mode while i'm in the office, but still be able to have a notification sound come through (ie. Beep once / Ring once) when someone calls or sends a msg.
Unfortunately, only a notification light will show up, but i want to hear a notification so i know that someone has called or msgd.

In the old phones, you used to have "Profiles" that you could set up (ie. General / Silent / In a metting) and when you put it on 'silent' you could set your phone to beep once. I'm after the same thing, but with the Incredible S, you can only have it on either silent with no tone, vibrate, or ringing.

I downloaded and app "Simple Profile Manager", but could not figure how it worked to do what i wanted.

Hope someone can offer some guidance.

Thankyou

Welcome to the Android Forums!

To create ringer profiles on your phone, you might want to take a look at apps in the Android Market like...

or

Default Sound Notification Incredible S - Words with Windows & What is push notification?

Hi,

Can anyone please tell me how i can set up my words with windows and heytell to send a sound notification when i get a response from someone.

I have all my notifications ticked and set up, and i get a notification picture in the top left corner of the screen, but i don't get a sound.

Is this only applicable to iphones, because my friends with the iphone always get a sound notification.

Also can someone please tell me what "push notification" means?

Your help would be much appreciated.

Thankyou
