Welcome to Android Forums.

There are a couple of things you can try ... use a different camera app like Vignette Demo for Android | AppBrain.com or Angel Camera for Android | AppBrain.com to see if the hardware works. You can try restarting your phone or if all else fails perform a factory reset.

What kind of phone do you have?

i have performed a factory reset still it didnt help
