Hello and welcome aboard.

That doesn't seem like a normal function for a phone. I can't think of any settings that would've cause this to happen. If the device hasn't gone defective, then it might have been corrupted. An application can be the caused of this mis-function. Start by uninstall all apps that you aren't currently using.

I would also like for you to stop by your device's support area to see if anyone else is experiencing the same problem.

There are a few carriers who have the Samsung Galaxy S2 - So I've linked all variants of your phone. Just choose your phone from the list.

Samsung Galaxy S2 (AT&T) - Android Forums - (AT&T)
Samsung Galaxy S2 (T-Mobile) - Android Forums - (T-mobile)
Samsung Epic 4G Touch - Android Forums - (Sprint)
Samsung Galaxy S2 (International) - Android Forums - (International)
Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket - Android Forums
Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket HD - Android Forums

I hope the info on here will be useful to you.
