Default HTC One X (AT&T) Bluetooth Crackling sound

I have 2 HTC One X's (one with a mangled screen). When playing audio through the bluetooth connection in my car the newer one experiences some pretty bad popping or crackling noises. It does this when using Play Music, Pandora, Youtube, and when playing an MP3 file that is stored on the phone.

The oddest thing is that the older of the two doesn't experience any of these issues, and they both have all the same software updates and everything on them.

Anybody able to shed some light on this situation and help out?

Welcome to the community. Glad to have you aboard. <( ̄︶ ̄)> []~( ̄▽ ̄)~* ( ̄﹏ ̄) ( ̄ˇ ̄)

You'll find your device's area of discussion here HTC One X/XL - Android Forums. As for the problem you are experiencing, maybe someone over @ your device's support forum might have an answer for you.

Have you tried using a different bluetooth? The problem just might be that _ if you're getting the same problem from both devices.

I hope you'll find a solution for this. Good luck.

Ok, so I'll start my rant off like this; I'm one of the typical apple/iphone fan boys that everyone has loved to hate. I've owned every Iphone launched in the U.S. to date. I finally grew tired of my 4s and decided to give the one X a shot as it felt great in my hand, and the screen is amazing.

So far I don't have many complaints besides........THE BLUETOOTH AUDIO STREAMING being my first.

I recently purchased the kenwood kdc-x996 for my car because of the Bluetooth streaming and quality of the deck. At the time of purchase I still owned my 4s, which sounded absolutely amazing with the new kenwood.

Well long story short, being the total apple/iphone "nut/geek" I am, I was persuaded to try my first ever android phone; the htc one x. I was stoked to be able to transfer all my music from itunes through double twist, but after connecting and streaming the same songs I had on my iphone through bluetooth, i'm very disappointed. Not only are the songs low quality, but I'm getting the same tapping/popping noise you have experienced.

Sooooo to make sure I wasn't just losing my mind, I had my roomate connect his galaxy sII to my deck. We listened to songs that were downloaded from the same source, with matching quaility. Final results....His S2 blew my one x away as far as song clarity and quality, which we poked fun of for sounding like shit compared to my 4s.

Everything else on the phone has been great so far besides the intermittent "death grip" loss of the wifi connection.

The deck I purchased does have the usb connection in the rear, so I will be giving the direct connection a try. From what I have read so far its an issue with HTC and most devices with sense. My hope is that it's a software issue and will be fixed shortly.
