I would like to introduce myself, I do tech support for a global company, and I have been interested in the tech industry for a couple of years now. I had my first laptop 2 years ago and Ive been learning ever since! had a little look into programming, with MS software small basic... it is just that (basic) but its a start eh!
As a person I have found that I like to "swim the other way"... so the UK comedian Frankie Boyle is my cup of tea and generally enjoy conditioning conversations to judge characters and watch peoples reactions, especially on all things fundamentally taboo.
I bought my first HTC in Dec 10 and hated it after about a month. the official OS was laggy, playlists wouldnt save, I honestly thought that the headphone jack was broken because my music was so quiet.. AND THEN i found websites yourselves, gsmarena and XDA which all offer a superb way of thinking around smartphones. It seems to me that you become a culture of geek, and i dont mean in the blasphemous sense... we learned from TBBT that nerd is the new cool...
I found forums giving me all I needed to permroot the handset, and then to find in the smallprint before installation that I had made a mega tit of myself by performing the OTA to gingerbread
which meant I had to go through the not-so-simple task of downgrading it at the time because I couldnt see any other logical solution... after the hours of sweating it out and finally staring at a boot animation that looked like it was going somewhere, I had installed my first custom ROM (CM7). playlists worked, and played beautifully through the same set of headphones and I had finally gotten rid of the bloatware that was infecting the phone. So all in all happy days at the moment, and Im off to browse through your forums for 4G related info. I was looking at the new One XL and the irony round it... 4G capable so if it does have Wifi related issues with the upper cover boards, does it matter?!
