Default Micromax A57 upgrade from 2.3 to 4.0 ICS

Hello Everyone,

I have just bought the Micromax A57 Ninja 3 phone.
It comes with Gingerbread 2.3 OS. I would like to upgrade from 2.3 to 4.0 ICS.
Can anyone let me know is it possible, if yes then how?

I also would like to take a backup of my contact list. Is there any way to do the same?

Thanks for your help in advance.
Looking forward to hear from soon.

Hi EasyBoy and welcome to the forums.

I've searched a little but can find nothing about ICS for your phone nor any plans for it. You could try rooting and installing an ICS rom if you can find one. I can't find a forum here for your specific phone, but here is a post for rooting it in the A75 forum. You might also check the A56 forum for info.
