Don't Be Shy
I just registered so that I could post in a reception thread about my experiences. While I was contemplating that post I saw the banner inviting me to Don't Be Shy... Say Hi!
I've been browsing the site for a long time now. Long before my first Android phone which was an OG Droid that my bro-in-law gave me over a year ago. I upgraded from that to a Verizon Galaxy Nexus early this year. I just upgraded to a Verizon Galaxy S3 last week.
I miss the raw Android experience that I had with my Nexus. But all the things I don't miss like poor battery, poor reception, and so-so camera far out weigh having vanilla Android. And with the VZW GS3 opened up I can do whatever I want now anyway.
My Linux experience started on Mandrake Linux in 2000. I've been watching the whole Linux phone thing since Openmoko was just starting up in 06. It's evolved to such a level that I don't think anyone could have imagined then.
Anyway, you wanted an introduction. Thanks for the great site!
