how can I enlarge the fonts on my HTC Raider android phone?

Some phones have the ability to make text larger under the Settings > Accessibility

Otherwise you may have to root your device to get this option to show up, which requires some experience...

It also depends on what font you are trying to enlarge. You can use pinch & spread (where you use two fingers to make the font bigger) mostly in the messaging app or on some webpage.
