Default Upgrading micro sd card 8gb to 32gb

Hi there I am upgrading my sd card on HTC Desire S from 8gb to 32gb. I have my phone connected to my PC via USB cable, and the 32gb in a sd card adaptor in my PC. Hopefully its just a matter of drag and drop the files required. I moved my apps to the 8gb card to save internal memory space, will these need to be copied onto the new card, and so how do I do that. Apart from pictures and music, what other files do I need to copy.
Any comments greatly appreciated, as I do not want to cause problems with the phone.

Default Upgrading sd card 8gb to 32gb

Thanks for the response, by copying all I take it that includes all the Media files. With my phone connected to the pc is shows all sorts of files, how do I know whether these are on the sd card or on the phone itself. Its my first time doing this, as you can probably tell.

depending on your phone it will have an internal and an externel sd card that will be mounted ash such in your computer. what i would do is open your new card in the sd card reader and then in a window open up the EXTERNAL sd card (not internal if your phone has one) then just select all from your old one and copy it to your new one.
