Cool Hello-I'm Marsha but you can call me by my user name, Dagny.

Hi, everyone. I got my first Android smart phone last summer, a Galaxy S4G. It was very quirky and after almost a year of fighting with it and with TMobile, they replaced it first with another of the same model and then with a Galaxy S Blaze. I liked the Blaze a lot but I found a brand new Galaxy S3 (or is it SIII?) for sale on Ebay, where I am a seller (owensmar). It was still in it's box and came with lots of extra stuff for $450.00 and I couldn't resist. Anyway it has been a sharp learning curve going from a Web enabled "half smart"phone to the Galaxys. I've taught myself how to use them-Samsung doesn't believe in paper user manuals and I like learning by experience, anyway. But have to decide which phone to sell, can't keep both.

I would love to root one of these phones, just for the experience to see what it's like but I'm afraid I'll mess it up and it sounds like a time consuming, tricky endeavor. The only problems I've not been able to handle are all issues with trying to move files (apks, music, etc.) between phones. That's my current Android project. I d on't want to have to use the laptop as an intermediary.

I live on the Gulf Coast in Alabama, am married and have five rescue cats. I have a masters degree in library/information science but I don't know even basic html or any programming languages but want to learn. As a side note, I use a predictive text keyboard on my phones so you may see weird, out if context words cropping up-I can't always see the part of the screen where my typing appears. So if I don't edit very carefully it changes my words and I don't know it . (I have tapatalk installed but it isn't running apparently.

Glad to meet other people who are fascinated with their cellphones!
