Default MHL to HDMI no signal.

Hi, i'm new here so go easy on me.

Anyway, here is my problem.

I have the new LG nexus 4, i bought a MHL to HDMI adapter so i could watch the films etc from my phone on the TV. However, its not working. There is no signal. I've tried all the troubleshooting tips.

Any ideas?? I can't post the link of the adapter because i'm a new user!

Thanks in advanced
Joe

One of the troubelshooting tips was to connect a charger at the adaptor's microUSB socket ?

If your LG is anything like the Samsung G3 then the pin count/config was changed. The standard MHL will not work. I had the same problem the G2 MHL did not work on G3. I ordered a MHL for the G3 and all worked fine. I now have a standard MHL paper weight.

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I finally found out the problem, the nexus 4 doesn't support MHL. To view it on the TV you need a SlimPort HDMI which i've got coming in the post first thing on Monday.

Thanks for your warm welcome to the forums!
