Default Hello

My name is Jesse,

I have an HTC Desire, and an Asus TF300 Tablet. I am here to become literate in Android. I've done some cursory browsing and concluded that I have a lot to learn!

I want to learn how to root my phone, so I can use ATT unlimited data plan I've been hanging on to for years to tether for my tablet. I think I need a lot of help here. I've read some posts on root terminology, but am still confused by all the jargon. Can someone direct me to a reading or video list to help this beginner get started? Thanks,

Jesse

Hey there Jesse and welcome to Android Forums.

The above links are for your devices.

What is root or being rooted mean?

That above link is definitely a good starting point to learn what root is to begin with.
