Default (Solved) Pre kindle fire rooting questions

So I'm planning to root my kindle fire cause it's as boring as can possibly be lol. But I've never rooted anything before so I'm a little concerned about any security issues that come with rooting. How safe is it, are there any risks or security threats?

There would be no additional security risks with rooting your device. It is safe since there are recovery tools available if something should go wrong (which is very unlikely).

Moved to the root section.

I think you should know that rooting also voids the warranty so in the event you do brick the tab you would not be able to get a warranty replacement also if you use the Amazon streaming video function you can not access that while rooted but I believe there is a work around that is available.
