Default Possible to root version 6.3.1?

Is it possible to root a kindle running 6.3.1? If so what method/ link/instructions should I follow?

Using linux ubuntu by the way... in case it makes a difference.
Thanks.

If you have twrp you're fine. Just install your rom of choice. Sounds like he writes the kf but make sure you do that too prior to flashing.

Or wait. If it goes into twrp can you boot into system from there? What happens if you try that?
