Default Rooted Fire - sound lag issue

Rooted Kindle Fire 1st Gen with JB 4.2. Every game I downloaded and attempt to play from Play Store has same issue. The sound is almost a second behind the video on the screen. For example, installed Need for Speed Most Wanted - when crash into car, the sound effect isn't heard until about a second later. Anyone else experience this? Any suggestions?

Default

CM10-SGT7

However I have tried several others. Looks like lot may be a hardware issue based on what I've googled.
