I figured it out, in order to download apps onto the Klu lt7033, you must put in a micro SD card, then apps will download easily!
scary alien and whs37 like this.

Wow. I did this and everything stopped working. I pressed the reset button and now it just loops the Klu logo then the Android graphic, then repeats. Now what?

Default Getting & Keeping Amazon Appstore Up & Working

Note: If you are using a Klu LT7052 see this guide instead... Getting Amazon Appstore & Google Play on Klu LT7052 Step by Step

Note:
There are some glitches about the way Amazon Appstore operates that this post will demonstrate how to work around, so if you do download Amazon appstore be sure to work all the way through this post. If you are not interested in loading Amazon appstore and only want to load Google Play skip the rest of this post and begin with post 105, (or post 3 of the step by step guide).

On your PC...
Create an account with Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more It will be faster and easier to do on the PC. If you already have an account, great. Just be sure you have 1 click checkout activated because it is required for use with the tablet.

On your Tablet select...
settings > security > check Unknown sources
use the back button (lower left corner) to exit settings and then,
download the appstore app to your tablet from...
Install AmazonŽ Appstore
Install and open the app.
You will see the white & amber appstore “smile” in the upper left corner, and a create account button in the lower right. Don't press the button! You already have an account. Press the back button to exit appstore, and then press the appstore button again. This time you will get the welcome screen.
Log into your account.

Download whatever your interested in having.
Use the back button to exit appstore.

Press the button to open appstore again. (humor me)
Now what you will get is a completely useless black screen that may or may not have a search bar at the top. Go ahead, try to use the search bar and you'll see what I mean about useless. This will happen each time you leave appstore & then try to return so...

Here is what you do to get back in.
Use the back button to exit appstore & then go to Settings > Apps > Appstore > Clear Data > OK
Use the back button to get back out of settings & then press the appstore button.
This time you will get the familiar white & amber appstore “smile” / create account screen,
hit the back button to exit appstore.
Press the appstore button again and your back to the welcome screen where you can log into your account and download whatever apps you like.

If your happy enough to just have Amazon Appstore and you don't want to install the Google Play store then your almost done, but before you decide to call it quits let me mention that one of the apps that I really wanted, Dish remote access was only available at Google Play, and its free.

Should you decide to stop now just remember that if you change your mind later just pick up beginning with post 105, (or post 3 of the step by step guide). If you are going to stop here please skip down to the end, and take a moment to provide us with some feedback.

Default Getting Google Play Up and Running

On the tablet...
Download, but DO NOT INSTALL, the Google Play apk (ver. 3.10.10) (Thanks casperischinky)
com.android.vending-3.10.10.apk (Please report broken links)

Download, and install ES File Explorer
es_file_explorer_v1.6.2.4.apk (2.81 MB) via their Download page ( Thanks mavrikmeercat & scary alien) (Please report broken links)

Open ES File Explorer.
At the bottom left of the screen there are 3 vertical dots. Press this button.
A menu pops up, press settings.
Scroll down to Root settings and check Root Explorer.
A warning will pop up, select yes.
Another pop up, select Allow

If your tablet is rooted, the root explorer box will remain checked and you should continue with the remaining instructions in this post. (If you can not get root explorer to remain checked it means that the tablet is not rooted. Ignore the remaining instructions in this post, & skip down to post 106, (or post 4 of the Step by step guide)

Starting with mount file system check the 3 remaining boxes. If the program asks any more questions just answer yes or allow. When all 5 boxes are checked...

Use the back button to get back to the main ES File Explorer screen (you should be at.. /sdcard/ )
press the Download ((folder icon.) You should now be at... /sdcard/Download/ )
press the (multi) Select button, select the Google Play apk you downloaded earlier, & press copy
use the up button to get to the root directory. (On this device it looks like a phone with a / )
press the system (folder icon), then press the app (folder icon). (you should be at /system/app/ )
Press the (multi) Select button, select the Google Play apk & press the paste button.
(Don't be surprised that Google Play apk seems to disappear, its made up of many smaller files)

click...
(3 vertical dots) > Settings > Root settings
Starting at the bottom uncheck the bottom 3 boxes,
Leave the next box, Up to Root, checked.
and then uncheck the top box.
Back out of ES File Explorer.

Shut down the tablet.

The next time you boot up you should have Google Play in your list of apps.

Leave Feedback! Please, when nobody does it feels like playing to an empty auditorium. Skip post 106, your done!

Default So Your Klu 7033 Isn't Rooted, No Problemo

On your tablet...
Settings > developer options > check USB debugging.
Settings > security > check Unknown sources
Back out of settings & shut down the tablet.

On your PC...
first determine what operating system your using, to do this click...
Start > control panel > system
Your processor type & operating system should be listed in the window.

Dimitriz found the correct drivers at...
(http//forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1967699
These were provided by SferaDev (Much Thanks to both of you!!!)
Download and completely extract...
ADB Driver RK29.zip (Please report broken links)

I believe all of the following windows operating systems should work, but you will have to see for yourself. (2K,XP,2K3,VISTA,WIN7/32bits) (XP,VISTA,WIN7,WIN8/64bits)

If you are using WIN8 follow the instructions at https://laslow.net/2012/03/14/disable-driver-signature-enforcement-in-windows-8/ and then try the ADB Driver RK29.zip file (Thanks profit) (Please report broken links)

If your using win 7, or win 8... (If not skip this paragraph)
With the tablet off and the computer on connect a USB cable first to the tablet, then to the PC.
Give the computer a few moments to acknowledge the presence of a new device and then...
Start > Devices & Printers > Right Click (whatever icon the computer presents you with for the tablet,) > Properties > Hardware tab > Properties > Driver tab > Update driver > Browse to the folder you extracted from the zip file (BE sure to check include sub folders) > OK
The computer may give you a warning that the driver is unsigned, just choose install anyway.
The computer should recognize and install the driver. ( < 30 sec. ) If not you most likely pointed to the wrong folder, try again. Mine connected on the first try.

If you're using one of the pre Win 7 operating systems listed, you need to load the driver from the device manager...
With the tablet off and the computer on connect a USB cable first to the tablet, then to the PC.
Give the computer a few moments to acknowledge the presence of a new device and then...
Start > Control panel > device manager
near the top of the list find the Android composite ADB interface and double click to open the dialog box.
> Driver tab > Update driver > Browse to the folder you extracted from the zip file (BE sure to check include sub folders) > OK
The computer may give you a warning that the driver is unsigned, just choose install anyway.
The computer should recognize and install the driver. ( < 30 sec. ) If not you may have pointed to the wrong folder (try again), or perhaps the correct driver for your operating system really isn't there. ( I can't say for certain because I didn't try using your operating system) If at this point you have been unsuccessful at finding the right driver stop, tell us! If you have another computer with a different operating system try that one instead.

Once the drivers are installed the driver tab should say the device is working properly. You will also notice that the update driver option has grayed out. You may also find that the name on the icon for the tablet has become more specific.

If you've got the device working properly...
Download and completely extract the Root RK29 Toolkit 1.3.zip provided by SferaDev
Root RK29 Tab Toolkit 1.3.zip (Please report broken links)

Shut down the tablet and remove the USB cable from the Computer Only.

Reconnect the USB cable to the computer. This will boot the tablet.

On the PC click...
Start > computer > navigate to where you extracted the runme batch file from the Root Toolkit Zip. Double click the runme batch file.
A command window will pop up with a list of 6 things you need to be sure are done before you proceed. These are (1) Install the ADB drivers of the folder. (2) Power on your tablet (3) Turn off mass storage. (the only way to connect mass storage on this tablet is through the USB cable and that is connected to the computer. (4) Enable USB debugging (5) Enable unknown sources & (6) connect a USB cable.

(If you have been following these instructions you already have all this done, otherwise go ahead and do whatever you still need to do.)

Hit enter and then wait patiently. The whole process takes less than 5 min. but your tablet will reboot several times in the process. When its done your tablet should be rooted, and the program will ask you to...
press enter to exit the program.

Shut down the tablet & remove the USB cable.

Turn the tablet on,
Open ES File Explorer.
At the bottom left of the screen there are 3 vertical dots. Press this button.
A menu pops up, press settings.
Scroll down to,and select Root settings
check Root Explorer.
A warning will pop up, select yes.
Another pop up, select Allow

Wait a few moments. If the tablet is rooted, the Root Explorer check box will remain checked. If so continue with the remaining instructions in this post. (If not, then you are not yet rooted. The most likely reason this would happen would be that the ADB driver didn't install properly, try to figure out what you did wrong and do it again.)

/sdcard/Download/ )
press the (multi) Select button, select the com.android.vending-3.10.10.apk you downloaded earlier, & press copy
use the up button to get to the root directory. (On this device it looks like a phone with a / )
press the system (folder icon), then press the app (folder icon). (you should be at... /system/app/ )
Press the (multi) Select button, select the com.android.vending-3.10.10.apk & press the paste button.
(Don't be surprised that the com.android.vending-3.10.10.apk seems to disappear, its made up of many smaller files)

click...
(3 vertical dots) > Settings > Root settings
Starting at the bottom uncheck the bottom 3 boxes,
Leave the next box, Up to Root, checked.
and then uncheck the top box.
Back out of ES File Explorer.

Shut down the tablet.

I'm clueless as to what that means, but just out of curiosity, go ahead and fire up ES Explorer on the tablet and see if you can get all 5 of the boxes checked in the root settings. If you can it means you're already rooted and almost done.

I just gave a Klu to a lady friend of my wife for Christmas. And since she is an elderly women without technical skills, she gave it back to me for setup.

Now I am not a big Android expert myself. Just got a Nexus 7 a couple of weeks ago and am still fighting with that.

In that, this thread is very helpful. I don't know whether I really want to root the Klu (did that with the N7 though). I am just afraid that I will brick it. At age 75, the neurons work very slowly.

I read this in one of the posts here and I wonder whether it is really worth the trouble to root the Klu.
Quote:
and I've got to say its just not worth all the extra work. Whether you can get everything you want from the Amazon Appstore or not, avoid the task of loading the Google Play Store for now. Amazon's appstore rivals Google Play in usefulness
I did get the Amazon store working. The friend does not need a lot of fancy apps. Just some games such as Scrabble or Sudoku.

What do you guys think ??

For the rest, I am really impressed on how much tablet I got for $59. The thing is amazing. A lot of functions are easier than on my /7. E.g. when I attached a USB stick with the OTG cable, it was immediately recognized and I could read from it. Another BIG advantage is the Micro SD card that the N/7 does not have. I wish Asus would have spent the extra few pennies to put it in.

I am also impressed by the speed of the Klu. Considering that it has only a single core CPU, it does a splendid job. The only downside seems to be that the Klu case is a bit instable. For tapping you better put it on a solid surface. When you hold the device in your hand, it seems to twist and warp and tapping does not always produce the desired result.

Logic seems to dictate that if Google owns Android then,
Google must have the largest Android market, right?
Guess again. Amazon's market is bigger.

The Amazon appstore app is easy to instal.
It does not launch any background programs on startup.
It quits when exited.

Google's play store has less content,
it is difficult & risky to install,
and it runs background programs from power up to power down.

I made the mistake of adding Google's play store to my tablet because...
I assumed that they must be the leader in the Android market, and
this is my 1st device with an Android operating system.

Don't waste your time making my mistakes.

Well, I could be wrong...

This morning I found an app on Google Play that I absolutely do need, and it wasn't on Amazon, or SlideME.

Just out of curiosity what model number is your tablet?
Settings > about tablet > model number
If you have "D" or later your tab should already be rooted.

Thanks for the info. Mine is "D". At least that is what it says on the box. In settings it says "Nuclear" - whatever that means. Kernel version is 3.0.8+ and Build Number is GT704-A13005-A04. Android Version is 4.0.4.

Good your tablet should already be rooted.
If you want Google Play try the following.
Download, but DO NOT INSTALL the Google Play apk provided by Casperischinky. The link is...
http://db.tt/qSnXMWyJ

Open ES File Explorer. (If you don't have this yet, it is free and available at Amazon Appstore)
At the bottom left of the screen there are 3 vertical dots. Press this button.
A menu pops up, press settings.
Scroll down to Root settings and check all boxes available.
The program will ask some questions, answer yes to all questions.
The program will verify whether or not the tablet is rooted,
if it is, you will be able to continue until all 5 boxes are checked.

(If you can't get all 5 boxes checked it means your tabet is not rooted and you will not be able to proceed with the following until it is.)

Use the back button to get back to the main ES File Explorer screen
Navigate to /sdcard/Download/
Select and copy the Google Play apk you downloaded earlier.
Navigate to /system/app/
Select & paste the file into the folder.
(Don't be surprised that it seems to disappear, its made up of many smaller files)
Back out of ES File Explorer.
Shut down the tablet.

The next time you boot up you should have Google Play in your list of apps.

You are absolutely right. These guys are a lot of help. I am really amazed how much tablet you get with the Klu - and all this for $59. Although the Klu is not my own (I only set it up for a nice elderly lady), I play more with it than with my own Nexus 7 - LOL.

Be advised that I have edited the guide in the sticky for the 7033, and the work in progress for the 7052 to eliminate a potentially grave error.
I don't know if you used what I sent you in the previous post or not so...

If you have used the above post Do The Following Immediately!!!

Open ES File Explorer and click...
(3 vertical dots) > Settings > Root settings
Staring at the bottom uncheck the bottom 3 boxes,
Leave the next box, Up to Root, checked.
and then uncheck the top box.
Back out of ES File Explorer

While you were doing that you may have had the program asking for super user access. If so, you may also have noticed that even if you picked deny access the program was granted super user privileges anyway. Even the most careless of system administrators only grant themselves super user access long enough to accomplish the task at hand, and then they turn super user access back off. Unchecking all but Up to Root will allow you to see your entire file structure without the risk of accidentally erasing something vital, and turning your tablet into a paper weight.

if you have not used the above instructions, just be aware that as soon as you finish pasting the Play apk file into the /system/apps/ folder you should do the above starting with the click (3 vertical dots) etc.

SuperNoober, thank you again. I got everything working after I realized that I had a 7033D model on my hand that was already rooted out of the box. Amazon market and Google Playstore work now - somehow.

There is still a little problem with Amazon. I can download and install from the tablet but not thru the PC. It seems to download and I then 'own' the program, but it never shows up on the tablet. Initially I had the same problem with my Nexus 7 but after I called them, the problem got resolved. I guess I'll call them again in the new year.

Default What I did and worked great on 4 of these tablets was...

What I did and worked for 4 tablets. This is my experience. All things have a risk.

1. Modified the RK29 Rooting toolkit (v1.2) file an added a command where the computer pushes the SuperUser.apk and BusyBox.apk files over.

Before:
[HIGH]@echo ----------------------------------------------------------------------
@echo Pushing Superuser app
@files\adb push files\Superuser.apk /system/app/.
@echo ----------------------------------------------------------------------
@echo Pushing Busybox Free app
@files\adb push files\Busybox.apk /system/app/.
@echo ----------------------------------------------------------------------
@echo Cleaning[/HIGH]

After:
[HIGH]@echo ----------------------------------------------------------------------
@echo Pushing Superuser app
@files\adb push files\Superuser.apk /system/app/.
@echo ----------------------------------------------------------------------
@echo Pushing Busybox Free app
@files\adb push files\Busybox.apk /system/app/.
@echo ----------------------------------------------------------------------
@echo Pushing Google Play app
@files\adb push files\com.android.vending-1.apk /system/app/.
@echo ----------------------------------------------------------------------

@echo Cleaning[/HIGH]

2. Copied the com.android.vending-1.apk file to the \files folder in the script \files location

3. Set the tablet to the appropriate settings - debug mode...

4. Ran the script

Worked for me but please as with anything do at your own risk.
Great tablets and thank you everyone involved. Nice little tablets. At $50 each should have got one to be a new car stereo.

Has anyone had an issues with apps installing successfully but then they don't open? No version of Angry Birds runs on my Klu. They all install fine, but when I tap to open them the screen goes black and then immediately back to the launcher. Anyone else having any issues like this?

I wanted to confirm for ya...I'm having the same problem. Only Rovio app I've got to work so far was Bad Piggies.

I've been following the LT7033 threads since I got mine back on Black Friday, never posted because always felt like it was over my head (re: never rooted anything before), but you guys are great!

Shout out to mavrikmeercat...hows your custom coming? Any chance you could check these Rovio apps and help us out?

Although I was lucky with a 7033D model that was rooted, I brought it back. Too many little problems and too much fuzz to try to fix them. The main thing it had going for it was the low price. My 32GB Nexus 7 is a lot more fun and works smoothly.

Its not just our tablet.. Check out the reviews in the market. I had this problem about a month ago and saw that it was due to their latest update.. I found out that you can still get the previous version from Amazon. That did the trick. Don't update it once you have it working.

The lt7033 I have is for my 5 year old daughter. It was my alternative to buying her one of those rip off, battery consuming, $10.00 per app, so not worth it leap pads.. And with the ROM I built running on it, its pretty snappy I must say. And she freaking LOVES angry birds so naturally, I had to fix it

ROM IS DONE!! Been working exclusively on CWM so we can all make backups and flash ROMs. Found some guys over in XDA working on some similar rk29xx devices so I'm in contact with them for what they have so far. Its taking longer than expected but we'll get it. Eventually...

Edit: the wife bought me a 32gb Samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1 WiFi for Christmas so yeah I know what you mean about a higher end device being much smoother..

Ah, the kids...we picked up 4 of these...one for myself, and then the 15-year old, the 11-year old and the 6-year old...I am very interested in an Angry Birds fix for the same reason Is there something specific that can be done to make these apps work...something enabled in your ROM that's not present in the as-is-rooted tab?

Now for the noobish questions...you've got a ROM done, but the only way to transfer it is through CWM? Sorry I'm not familiar enough with the processes...CWM is device specific, right? And the ROM would end up packaged in a .zip file? There's no easy way for an uneducated like me to get to where you're at, but is that what's being worked on? Thanks for all the contributions...

The Curtis Klu LT7033 is very similar to the Proscan PLT-7035 series (both are from same company and except the fact that it has 1 GHz instead of the 1.2Ghz processors of the 7035's).

All those tablets have the Rockchip RK2906 so for all things like root, play store, CWM etc. visit my thread (link below) at xda-developers.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37221496&postcount=4

The company website has the firmware up in zip format (also contains the explanation and walk through for firmware upgrade)

Statutory warning: Follow all the remaining steps in my posts in thread at your own risk. It worked fine for me - so neither the forums or me are liable in any sort of way for any damages whatsoever that you may bring upon yourself.

Apparently there are several different versions of the LT7033. Back before Christmas, I won a Klu LT7033 as a door prize at my office Christmas party. I found these forums as a result, proceeded to root it per the instructions here, but could not get the Google Market to run properly. This particular device had a small thin outer bezel, and was not rooted out of the box, and would only charge with the AC adapter.

As luck would have it, about 2 weeks after getting it, something happened with the display and it became all washed out and unreadable. So my co-workers returned it to the store for an exchange. I got a Klu LT7033 back, but it is not the same device. The outer bezel is wider, almost like a Kindle Fire HD, and all the buttons are different. This device appears to charge from the USB port (it states that it is charging when it is plugged it) and it also has an AC adapter for charging. This new device was also rooted out of the box, and had a root file manager already installed. Getting Google Play to work was extremely simple. I downloaded the APK, and pasted it in the \system\app folder and rebooted. That was it. I have never been so glad something broke in all my life because I got a better device in the exchange (or so it seems so far).

As such, I would take the instructions you find here with a grain of salt because you do not know which version of the device the instruction giver has. It could very well be different than yours.

Just my experience.

EDIT

Upon further review, when I go to Settings>About Tablet the Model Number is listed as GT704. I do not see LT7033 anywhere.

What method did you use to load the cwm software? Fun's website lists 5 different methods for installation, which one did you have success with?

Default How to flash CWM on LT7033 ,D ,E

I'm onlyposting instructions for Lt7033 variants. If you want instructions for your device go here:
CWM-based Recovery for Rockchip | androtab.info

WHAT YOU NEED
1.)A rooted LT7033
2.)Download this from your tablet:
http://files.androtab.info/rockchip/rk2918/20130120/RK29GENERIC_CWM.zip
2.)ES file explorer or root explorer
3.)Terminal Emulator

Instructions
1.)In ES or root explorer, go to /sdcard/download/ and extract RK29Generic_CWM.zip.
2.)Go to that extracted folder and multi-select flash_image and recovery.img
3.)hit the copy icon to copy them
4.)after copy, move up to root or /
5.)open the folder /dev and paste both flash_image and recovery.img in /dev/
6.)close root exploere/ES
7.)Open terminal emulator and run these commands one at a time hitting enter after each one. misspelling or mistakes here can brick your tablet so get it right!!!
[HIGH]su (hit enter)
chmod 755 /dev/flash_image (hit enter)
/dev/flash_image recovery /dev/recovery.img (hit enter)
reboot recovery (hit enter)[/HIGH]

note: you dont need to disable install_recovsh as fun_ instructed in his post because ours doesn't re-flash stock recovery on reboot..

Yup. Great work by fun_ - glad you joined the bandwagon of CWM-ers because I am yet to see one for the Samsung Galaxy Pro (GT-B7510 that I bought from overseas) and a lack of cyanogenmod for it is frustrating.
Is there an official upgrade for your LT7033 to stock JB 4.1.1? If not you could try Oma's unofficial JB rom

I went the adb route because popping it on SD card did not work for me.

Google it and use older versions of the Angry Birds apps - it works - and don't update it from play store

Not meaning to derail the thread here - I also see that you have Samsung Exhibit II listed on your devices. My wife has one of those and I recently put the "Slim Bean" rom on it - FANTASTIC to say the least.

Hello.. I feel really dumb even asking this after reading down thru this page.. here goes I also have the 7033. got it as a gift. I do not have wifi in my home as of yet. but i do have a desk computer. saw that it came w a usb connector. the small end of course goes into the 7033 an the large end is supposed to plug into my computer? i thought this might get me online an i would be able to download. but this USB thing is weird. it is like inside itself. the only way i got it plugged into something was to unhook my usb for my mouse from my computer an plugged the end of that into the usb for the 7033. the 7033 usb wont plug just into a usb port on my computer. that is just the start of my trouble.. but can someone help me with this one first.. then i will move on.. lol// thank you so much

The part that you are speaking of is the adapter. It has many uses but is mainly so that you can connect to a usb keyboard. You need to use the actual long cable to connect to a pc.

Default Problem solved (klu tab & google play)

Edit: Just tried Amazon and I was able to get this to work without doing anything special other than allowing 3rd Party Apps
I HAVE FOUND A WAY TO INSTALL THE REAL GOOGLE APP STORE ON MY CRAPPY KLU TABLET. (NO ROOT)

My $50 Klu tablet gave me the same problems like everyone else with the "Slide-Me" and "amazon" app stores. Force close, yada yada.

It turns out it just comes down to a simple download that needs installed to the tablet. Follow these steps...

Normally you could by rooting you tablet and push the necessary google apps, but there`s a method that doesn`t require root. This may or may nor work for you but it`s got a high success rate. Go ahead and download the following zip file:

http://dploy.in/downloads/2

(Note: I have also attached the 4 pre-extracted files to this post, just in-case the link fails.)

UNZIP THE DOWNLOAD FROM THE PC FIRST (I used winrar), to reveal 4 individual files, and place them in your tablet`s internal memory. (I tried to use the USB cable to transfer them to the tablet at first, however there was no driver for my computer access the tablet.. I over-came this by emailing the downloaded files to myself using gmail, then I downloaded the files to my tablet from the gmail app. Using a file browser app, browse to and install the 4 extracted apk files in this order:

1. GoogleServicesFramework-signed.apk
2. OneTimeInitializer-signed.apk
3. SetupWizard-signed.apk
4. com.android.vending-3.1.3-signed.apk Reboot when done and you should be asked to sign in to google account if it worked.

When I tried this, the first file would not install after being clicked because the tablet said it already had the same file installed. I just skipped it and installed the next 3. After restarting the tablet the google app store appeared. PROBLEM SOLVED.

Have any of you guys been able to successfully apply the jelly bean update for the 7033D yet? I've been trying for like the last three days..linux, windows 7, windows xp, ... I for the life of me cannot get this thing into flash mode..at least I'm guessing thats the problem. The powered on android drivers install fine, adb recognizes it. I was able to adb remount and get play store and modded gapps on it, as well as root, just can't seem to get this update on it. I noticed that there is an update option from within android, but I haven't been able to figure it out. I've been digging for days. I've tried the unbrick/restore guide and several others, with countless drivers, and still nothing

EDIT - If a mod sees this, I intended on putting it in the Unbrick/Return to stock thread. Would you mind moving it for me? I think you'd agree it's kind of out of place here.
