And the winner for the best battery saver app is...
ECO MODE
i have tried just about every top rated battery saving app on the market.
Even the almighty Juice Defender.
Regardless of the savings they report, real life time says something else.
I found i get the best battery life by reinstalling eco mode, having all items enabled except screen rotation lock, and setting it's threshold at 90%
AND for some strange reason, leaving wifi ON always, which seems odd but.
36 hours 1 charge, and i did use the phone even played some games.
will test more to see if it is a fluke but i am thinking not.
Most of those battery saver apps seem to wind up using the battery more than saving it.

Am one of the few that kept eco saverwhenwe we were dropping all the bloatwear.. it has served it's purpose for me so far.. but I keep the threshold at 80% I always keep my WiFi on anyway because once I leave my WiFi areas it switches itself off anyway.
i am getting an average of 32hrs taking it down to about 30% charge on my hydro. i have it rooted but havn't froze any apps, still running prety much stock. i do run battery hd pro and juice defender and have eco mode set at 40%.
i make about 5 to 8 short calls a day and evan use wifi tether for about 20 to 45 minutesa day.
so 2 days isn't bad for me but nothing like my old dumb phone, i could go all week on a charge
its not working. tether starts. the laptop connects but says no internet connection available. when I try to load a site I get data transfer and I see the 3g icons go but no access.
I have tried auto and generic and ics/jb to no avail. what options are you selecting?

Sorry guys but DS battery saver pro IS the best.I've tested it on my hydro and prevail...hydro went from 5 hours on a full charge to 24 hours on a full charge...it puts your phone in a deep sleep and turns off All apps and wifi and data.you can make a white list and it still receives calls in deep sleep mode.I have tried every app..and CPU profiles..this app is king.I've also tried eco mode that comes with the phone and its trash...this is the only true battery saving app I've found..Your welcome people.
Oh I forgot to say,it doesn't slow down or effect the normal use of your phone in any way..glad I could be apart of the family.

if you are only getting up to 24hrs on a charge WHAT ARE YOU RUNNING IN THE BACKGROUND AND WHAT ARE YOU USEING YOUR PHONE FOR.
in my fisrt post here i am getting an average of 32hrs on a charge and it is consistant i've been getting that for over a month.
so you may want to rethink your batt app

i was getting 18 to 24hrs on a charge right out of the box. i don't know what some people are useing there phones for that they only get a few hrs unless they are playing BIG games or movies on their phone but i don't think a phone would be that well suited as a major gamming system.
i allways thought you got a phone to use as a phone
Well hot dog,hmm drafts...my phone battery must blow balls then because I don't run anything big besides tiny village on this hydro.I also have maximum multitasking mod and v6,but the minfrees are set high.I need to reevaluate my tactics..
The Kyocera Hydro was announced at CTIA 2012, in New Orleans. It is a mid-range device with fair specs, but what makes it more enticing is its ruggedness. While it certainly doesn't look too tough, it can withstand 1 meter water submersion for ... Read More
