Thumbs up And the winner for the best battery saver app is...

ECO MODE

i have tried just about every top rated battery saving app on the market.
Even the almighty Juice Defender.

Regardless of the savings they report, real life time says something else.

I found i get the best battery life by reinstalling eco mode, having all items enabled except screen rotation lock, and setting it's threshold at 90%
AND for some strange reason, leaving wifi ON always, which seems odd but.

36 hours 1 charge, and i did use the phone even played some games.
will test more to see if it is a fluke but i am thinking not.
Most of those battery saver apps seem to wind up using the battery more than saving it.

Anyone had similar results?

Am one of the few that kept eco saverwhenwe we were dropping all the bloatwear.. it has served it's purpose for me so far.. but I keep the threshold at 80% I always keep my WiFi on anyway because once I leave my WiFi areas it switches itself off anyway.

i am getting an average of 32hrs taking it down to about 30% charge on my hydro. i have it rooted but havn't froze any apps, still running prety much stock. i do run battery hd pro and juice defender and have eco mode set at 40%.
i make about 5 to 8 short calls a day and evan use wifi tether for about 20 to 45 minutesa day.
so 2 days isn't bad for me but nothing like my old dumb phone, i could go all week on a charge

its not working. tether starts. the laptop connects but says no internet connection available. when I try to load a site I get data transfer and I see the 3g icons go but no access.

I have tried auto and generic and ics/jb to no avail. what options are you selecting?

do you meen "wifi tether for root" or "clockworkmod tether"?
wifi tether is in play store don't remember where cwm is but i could email it to you.

just found cwm tether in playstore, but it's NOT compatable with boost hydro. you have to go to the website to download the ".apk" and the pc program as it is a "2 part" deal.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.tether&feature=nav_res ult#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDNd

and for wifi tether for root go to
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.googlecode.android.wifi.tether&feat ure=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5nb29nb GVjb2RlLmFuZHJvaWQud2lmaS50ZXRoZXIiXQ..
this is compatable with the hydro so you just download and run it

Sorry guys but DS battery saver pro IS the best.I've tested it on my hydro and prevail...hydro went from 5 hours on a full charge to 24 hours on a full charge...it puts your phone in a deep sleep and turns off All apps and wifi and data.you can make a white list and it still receives calls in deep sleep mode.I have tried every app..and CPU profiles..this app is king.I've also tried eco mode that comes with the phone and its trash...this is the only true battery saving app I've found..Your welcome people.
Oh I forgot to say,it doesn't slow down or effect the normal use of your phone in any way..glad I could be apart of the family.

if you are only getting up to 24hrs on a charge WHAT ARE YOU RUNNING IN THE BACKGROUND AND WHAT ARE YOU USEING YOUR PHONE FOR.
in my fisrt post here i am getting an average of 32hrs on a charge and it is consistant i've been getting that for over a month.
so you may want to rethink your batt app

first its a $1.29 BUY IT you cheapskate :-) second please remove that URL. that is a warez link and not appropriate to post it publicly.

the hydro definitely does NOT get 24 hours if you use it much :-) willing to give it a go and see what happens :-)

but overall the battery life for the hydro really is not that bad (I have the eco thing set pretty aggressive on pops phone)

he has not complained about it yet.

i was getting 18 to 24hrs on a charge right out of the box. i don't know what some people are useing there phones for that they only get a few hrs unless they are playing BIG games or movies on their phone but i don't think a phone would be that well suited as a major gamming system.

i allways thought you got a phone to use as a phone

I've been using Optimal battery saver. It's added about 30-40% of battery time.

I downloaded Dolphin companion and browser and it seems to work well to keep battery to a minimum.

I have no battery saver, app killer or anything except what came with the phone. I am a light to average user and I'd have to charge my phone up to 3 times a day. I basically use my phone for texting, FB, emails, radar and the occasional phone call. I could not figure out why my phone would drain so quickly. I don't use it much at all.

So, my friend told me to keep the 'recent apps' screens clear. Now every time I use my phone, I touch the recent apps (double box hard key) and swipe any open screen to the left or right. Since I've done this, I can go almost 2 full days without a charge.

Like I said, I have no additional apps or battery savers, my phone is not rooted or anything. It is nothing more than when I bought it.

Lmfao the winner for best battery saving app is none since it actauly take battery to use any forementioned app.Best thing to do is not bog your phone down with apps not needed given so already unistalled my eco mode and keep my phone uced at times with 100 min and 700 max I'm on a snapdragon processor phone still retains full speed even on high end gaming
