Sad Flashed velocity 1.1 and touch screen not working?
Hello all,..I am new to rooting and recently rooted my phone..i should have stopped there at Wi Fi tetherin is all i realy wanted but i wanted to try a new rom since everyboday touted the virtues. Well i flashed velocity .04 and my ally went into a boot loop. i then flashed velocity 1.1 and it seemed to install ok but the touch screen is not working. can anybody help even if its just to restore to factory?

Actually, I suggest you flash the latest version of Velocity, which is 1.2.1. There is a thread for both the ROM itself (which is currently less active) and for the Velocity Scripts (which seems to be more lively at the present time).

The latest version addressed and fixed some of the problems we had on versions 0.4 and 1.1, plus it is made to run on Froyo. Presuming you did upgrade to Froyo ( look in settings/about phone/android version will show 2.2.x for Froyo instead of 2.1.x) then those initial versions of Velocity won't run right for you on Froyo.

i was just curious about any cool themes or any cool mods out there for the ally i rooted it and i just feel like i would be just as fine having it not rooted all i have done is get set cpu and wifi tether

Default help! Ringtone from Text Message??
Just got a new LG Ally... learning alot, however I am stuck on this one stupid thing!: i have a ringtone in a text message but cant figure out how to save it as a ringtone that i can set... my old phones had a "save as a ringtone" option, but i dont see that on this phone

If you simply save the ringtone file, it should end up in the download folder on your SD card. Then use a file manager app, such as ES File Explorer, to copy the ringtone. Make a new folder on your SD card named 'ringtones', and paste the ringtone file there. It should then show up in your ringtone selection process.
